Rams Route Dogies

A battle of unbeaten football teams matched up Friday in Newcastle, as the #1 ranked team in class 2 A, the Big Horn Rams traveled to tangle with the Dogies. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the recap.

Rams win / Broncs and Eagles fall on the road / Pokes home today with San Jose state / Denver v San Francisco Sunday night

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs dropped a 24-0 decision to Natrona county Friday. The loss gives the Broncs a 6-2 record heading into final week of the regular season they play at Cheyenne South next week.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams handled Newcastle 49-14 and move to 7-0, Christian Mayer scored four touchdowns in the victory. The rams end the regular season at home with Wheatland next week.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles fell 54-33 at Lingle / Fort Laramie, the Eagles will end the regular season at home next week against Pine Bluffs.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs take their shot at unbeaten Casper Natrona tonight we will have the game for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show starts at 6:30 kickoff is at 7:00.

Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs must be very focused and fundamentally sound tonight.

The Broncs have a kickoff return for a touchdown in three straight games all from Joe shassetz, Julian says that could be a big factor tonight but the Mustangs make it very difficult to do.

The Mustangs lead the 4-A at 7-0 Gillette and the Broncs follow at 6-1. Broncs Head coach Don Julian says it's a huge challenge for the Broncs but the coaches and players have embraced the challenge of facing the best high school football team in the state.

X-Country / Volleyball / Football

X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams compete at their conference meet Friday in Cheyenne. The all-class state championships will be in Sheridan a week from Saturday.

They took last week off to get ready for the conference and state championship races Head coach Art Bauers says being physically fit and mentally ready to run are the two big factors in preparation for the last two races of the year and he says race strategy is another component that they have been planning as well.

Broncs , Rams and Eagles win big / Pokes fall at Hawaii / Broncos down the Jets

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs are 6-1 after beating up Cheyenne Central 44-7 Friday night. Senior Joe Shassetz ran the opening kickoff back 98 yards for a score and also added a pick six in the second half.

Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs overcame a sloppy first half will several penalties.

Friday the Broncs play at number one ranked Natrona county, Julian says NC has not been challenged this season and they know how tough the game will be.
