Wyoming State High School Tennis Opens Thursday / SC Volleyball Home Tonight / Lady Bronc Volleyball v Gillette Thursday Night

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will play at the Wyoming state tennis championships this week play gets underway Thursday in Gillette.

The conference tournament was washed out in Cody due to rain last weekend, Head coach Bob Faurot says they got a few matches in and missing the rest of the tournament was a disappointment.

They have today and tomorrow for their final prep for the state tournament as he talks about expectations for both teams this week

It was a miserable day outside for a college rodeo this past weekend but inside the Sheridan College AgriPark indoor arena the weather was beautiful.

The AgriPark arena was a sanctuary for rained out cowboys and cowgirls who were very thankful to Sheridan College and this community for having a dry place to compete.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Rock Springs 24-16 and are the only remaining unbeaten team in 4-A football and are riding an 11 game winning streak they will host Gillette Friday night.

The Broncs jumped out to a 10-0 lead, the Tigers made it a 10-8 ballgame at halftime, the Broncs extended the lead to 17-8 and Rock Springs came right back and closed the gap to 17-16 but the Broncs made a great 4th quarter drive and got the points that put it away after the win Head coach Don Julian.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs travel to rock springs today our coverage of the game will start with the First Federal bank and trust pregame show at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00 on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Broncs and Tigers are ranked one and two in this week's Wyoming high school football poll.

It's another in a string of important games for the Broncs and Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs are ready to face the challenge.

And he says "Special Teams" could be the main factor in the outcome of tonight's game.

SRD Board Meeting Update / Bronc / Cowboy Football Face Big Road Tests / Broncos at Bengals Sunday

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District board went through a light agenda at their monthly meeting Wednesday they received an update of on going construction on the new West 5th street park project and also discussed the planning for the new Doubleday sports complex which will be located in north Sheridan.

The multi year Doubleday project will include youth and adult soccer fields, baseball and softball fields and little guy football fields with the amenities to go with a large recreation area.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs play at Rock Springs Friday night in a battle of the number one ranked Broncs against number two Rock Springs.

The Broncs are right in the middle of a brutal stretch of games that will include next week's home game with Gillette.

Head coach Don Julian says Friday night will be another night of "Big Boy" football against a very tough Rock Springs ball club.

LADY BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Broncs have a big weekend of competition coming up they host a pre-invitational meet Friday evening starting at 4:00 and the Sheridan invitational will get underway Saturday morning at 9:00.

They had most of last week off from competition and Head coach Brent Moore said this little mid-season break was built into their schedule.

This week there is no travel which is rare and Moore says they will enjoy being home and says the competition will be very good.

The Sheridan College Generals had a great start to the season at Chadron, NE this past weekend. Both the Women’s team and the Men’s team ended up second for the weekend.
The women were second behind Casper college by 40 team points and the men were second to Chadron State college by only 20 team points. We are very excited about our home rodeo this weekend.
