IT WAS ANOTHER BUSY AND WILD WEEKEND ON THE LOCAL SPORTS SCENE

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs made it three straight wins to start the season overcoming five turnovers to beat Green River 10-7.

Head coach Don Julian says they knew it would be a tough game and it was good to get out of there with the victory. And it was good for the broncs to win and overcome the five turnovers.

The Broncs play their next two at home beginning with Rock Springs Friday night at 7:00.

The Sheridan Broncs Get a Tough Road Win

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL- The Sheridan Bronc football team took to the road Friday night and got a tough victory over Green River 10-7. The Broncs move to 3-0 on the season and will host Rock Springs next Friday at Homer Scott Stadium at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast on AM 1410 KWYO.

The Tongue River Eagles hosted the Glenrock Herders this afternoon. Tongue River trailed early 20-0, but fought hard in the second half to bring the score to within 6. Despite a dramatic comeback by the Eagles, the clock ran out with the final score GLENROCK-26, TONGUE RIVER-20


The Big Horn Rams played Burns at Sheridan High School. Burns took an early lead, but it was all Big Horn from there. The final score was BIG HORN 45, BURNS-14.


Tonight The Sheridan Broncs take on the Wolves in Green River. Sheridan Broncs would win 10-7.

BRONCS LOOK TO GO 3-0 AT GREEN RIVER TONIGHT

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs take a 2-0 record on the road today heading for another big game in Green River. The Wolves are 0-2 after losses to Cheyenne East and Kelly Walsh Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the Wolves might be 0-2 but are a dangerous team.

And with the style of play of both teams the broncs are expecting a knock down drag out battle with the Wolves.

HOME FOOTBALL FOR BIG HORN AND TONGUE RIVER THIS WEEK

THE RAMS OPEN AT HOME WITH BURNS FRIDAY

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams host Burns in their home opener Friday at Sheridan high school, it's hoped in the next few weeks the new football field at the new high school will be ready to have games.

The Rams are coming off a 37-14 win at Greybull last Friday head coach Bert Dow says it way a great way to start off the new year.

They won't have much time to get ready for the Burns game Friday with a short week but most other teams missed a day of workouts this week with Monday being a holiday.

IT WAS A GOOD WEEKEND ON THE SHERIDAN COUNTY SPORTS SCENE

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs, Tongue River Eagles and Big Horn Rams all won football games. The Broncs led wire to wire in their 46-20 win over Cheyenne East Head coach Don Julian.

Julian says the Broncs played tough in all three phases of their game and did a nice job keeping the T-birds off balance.

Special teams did it again dominating East including Zack Will's second kickoff return for a touchdown.

The Broncs head out on the road Friday traveling to play at Green River.

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Cheyenne East 46-20 Friday night.

Dan Zemski threw four touchdown passes and Zack Will returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown in the victory.

The Broncs now 2-0 will play at Green River next week.

BIG HORN FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams went on the road and picked up a 37-14 win at Greybull Friday night. The 1-0 Rams will play at home next week against Burns.

Tonight the Sheridan Broncs faced Cheyenne East. The Broncs would win 46-20.

Also, Big Horn takes the win against Greybull this evening. 37-14 being the final score. The game was carried live on 95.9 FM.
