WYO RODEO - The first performance of the 2010 Wyo rodeo went off without a hitch to kickoff four night's of pro rodeo.

Here are the leaders from last night's performance:

Dane Hanna took the steer wrestling lead with a run of 4.2 seconds, Chance Kelton was 10.1 to take first last night in the steer roping.

Jake Wright won the saddle bronc riding with score of 86 and Brian Bain took the bareback riding with a score of 82 and in the bulls the top score was 74 from Jarrod Craig.

The team of Cole Proctor and Caleb Twisselman took the team roping last night with a time 5.5, Joe Parson was first in the tie down roping with a run of 8.1 and Jessie Moody had the fast time in the barrels with a run of 17.18 seconds.

The Wyo rodeo carnival opens tonight at 5:00 and the 2nd performance starts gets started at 7:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will host a double header with Cody this evening beginning at 4:00.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football coaches wrapped up three days of football camp last night.The first hour was dedicated to youth players Broncs head coach Don Julian says good turnout and the kids had a lot of fun.

The defending state champion Broncs went for two hours each night and Julian says they had a good camp.

The Broncs open pre-season drills Monday August 9th.

LOCAL GOLF - The Sheridan high school booster club will hold a fund raising golf tournament at the Powder Horn. It will be a four-person team scramble.

Don Julian says they are looking forward to providing a fun tournament for the players and raising funds to help out with their athletic training program at the high school. For more information contact the Powder Horn golf shop or contact Julian at Sheridan high school 672-2495.

BIG HORN POLO - The Big Horn polo club will host two matches at the equestrian center Sunday as part of the Wyo rodeo tailgate party. The “Eaton's” cup will be played at 1:00 and the “Wyo rodeo” cup will be played at 3:00.

FLYING "H" POLO - The Flying “H” polo season is underway they play matches on Thursday and Saturday. this week they have matches this afternoon at 1:00 and 3:00 and Saturday they play the consolation match of the “Bradford Brinton” Memorial cup at 1:00 and the championship at 3:00.
