REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL / HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL REGULAR SEASON FINALE

BIG HORN AND TONGUE RIVER READY FOR REGIONALS

REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team will open up their regional tournament against Cheyenne South the match will be played at 11:00 Friday morning. The north 4-A regional is being played at Cheyenne Central high school

The 2-A East regional will be played in Sheridan Friday and Saturday at Sheridan high school and Sheridan college.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles will face Pine Bluffs in an opening round match Friday at noon at Sheridan college.

SC RODEO RESULTS

The Sheridan college rodeo team went to Cheyenne this past weekend to compete at Laramie County Community College. We had 3 athletes make it back to the short round on Sunday.

Jake Mangis and his team roping partner Corbin Nichols placed 5th in the long round with a time of 7.0, they were the second fast time in the short round with a 5.3 and placed third in the average with a composite time of 12.3.

The team roping was very competitive this weekend and Jake really stepped up and roped well he earned the team 110 points.

Johnson County High School Sports Look Ahead For 10-18

Taking a look ahead in Johnson County high school sports for this week, Buffalo and Kaycee athletes will be competing and getting ready for fall sports to wind down.
The Buffalo Bison football team and the rest of Class 3A will know more about their playoff pairings after this weekend's games. The Bison travel to take on Rawlins Friday night, with kickoff set for 6pm.
The Kaycee Buckaroos will play Midwest this Saturday at 3pm.

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL GETS READY FOR REGIONALS

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team won their 7th straight Friday night taking out Casper Kelly Walsh 55-14.The Broncs built up a 35-14 halftime lead and shut the Trojans out in the second half. Head coach Don Julian pleased with the Broncs performance.

Junior Quarterback Kevin Bakkehaug had his best game of the season.

They close out the regular season at Cheyenne East Friday and Julian says they expect to get a great battle from the T-Birds.

Buffalo, Kaycee Weekend Sports Wrap

The Buffalo Bison and Kaycee Buckaroos sports teams were in action this weekend and were successful in most cases.
The Bison football team improved to 4-3 with a blowout win at home over Torrington 52-6.
Buffalo got two rushing scores each from Aaron Fenner and Collin Rodriguez, another from Casey Sellers; two passing touchdowns from Rodriguez to Fenner and a field goal from Wyatt Witty in the blowout win.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team won their 7th straight Friday night taking out Casper Kelly Walsh 55-14.The Broncs built up a 35-14 halftime lead and shut the Trojans out in the second half.

Jordan Roberts went for over 200 yards rushing again and had three touchdowns, Bronc Quarterback Kevin Bakkehaug ran for two and threw for over 200 yards 187 went to Riley Ryan, Head coach Don Julian pleased with the Broncs performance.

2011 HOMECOMING TONIGHT AT SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan bronc football team hosts Casper Kelly Walsh tonight.

We will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM the First Federal Pre game show with Head coach Don Julian will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00.

Over the last three season's the Broncs have had some great games with KW and had to struggle to beat them in playoff games to make it to the last two state title games.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says they expect another good challenge from the Trojans tonight.

General basketball player commits early to Portland stste

Generals Sophomore Lamot Prosser

As the Sheridan College General’s Men’s Basketball team continues to prepare for the upcoming season, one General has decided where his basketball career will continue next fall. Lamont Prosser (6’8 Sophomore Ft. Wayne, IN) has committed to play for Portland State for the 2012-2013 season.

The Sporting News preseason super-sophomore averaged 12.1 points and 6.7 rebounds as a freshman for the Generals, helping to lead them to a second straight Region IX Championship game.
