Bison Swimmers Perform Well at Newcastle

The Lady Bison swim team was at the Newcastle Invite last Saturday and came home with some great performances under their belts.
As a team, the girls finished second behind Doulas, followed by Cheyenne South, Newcastle and Worland.
Individually, wins went to the girls' 200-yard medley relay team of Misty Ballek, Hannah Chapin, Sara Ott and Caley Stafford; the same team in the 200 free; Stafford in the 200 IM and the 100 breast; Chapin in the 50 and 100 free; Ballek in the 100 fly and 100 back; and Gracie Meachum in diving.

Bison Cross Country Team Improving

The Bison cross country team continues to show improvement, but especially in the junior varsity ranks.
They were in Dougals last Friday for the Jackolope Invite, and the JVers looked good again.
The top finish came from Tori Schumacher who finished 15th, followed closely by Laura Kelly at 16th.
Kathryn Eklund took 28th, Sammy Burton 30th, Candace Carder 36th and Audrianna Carder 67th.
The girls' team finished fifth.

SC BOOSTER BBQ - The Sheridan college booster club will host their annual fall sports fan kickoff BBQ tonight at 6:00 at the Hoffman dome all Sheridan college supporters are urged to attend

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team hosts the Rock Springs Tigers Friday night we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO.

The First Federal savings bank pregame show will start this evening at 6:30 with the kickoff at 7:00.

The Big Horn Rams play at Glenrock Friday kickoff is at 6:00 and will be broadcast live on 95.9 FM.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BOOSTER BBQ / LOCAL SPORTS SCHEDULE / HILLBILLY OLYMPICS

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BOOSTER CLUB - The Sheridan college booster club will host their annual fall sports fan kickoff BBQ tomorrow night at 6:00 at the Hoffman dome.

All Sheridan college supporters are urged to attend the free BBQ Sheridan college men's basketball coach Steve Smiley.

Smiley says the athletic department at the college really makes an effort to get their athletes out into the community as much as possible to meet with community members and community groups.

WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team won a 42-35 shoot-out at Evanston Friday night.

The Broncs spotted the Red Devils a 14-0 lead after to turnovers in the first quarter but climbed back in the game and took the lead and held off a late Evanston rally to win it.

All the damage was done on the ground as Jordan Roberts ran for 354 yards and four touchdowns Gabe Dahmke had 79 yards and two touchdowns after the game a relieved Head coach Don Julian.

Bison Clip Green River in OT

The Buffalo Bison football team traveled to Green River Friday to take on the top-ranked Green River Wolves and came away with a 17-14 win in overtime.
Buffalo, outscored 14-0 in the first half, came roaring back in the second half to tie the game and send it into overtime.
Green River had the ball first in overtime, but Buffalo held the Wolves on three downs before blocking their field goal attemp on fourth down.
The Bison then kicked the winning field goal on first down to escape with a 17-14 overtime win.

Coach Brandon Returns to Bowling Green, This Time on Opposite Side of Field

LARAMIE (AP) - Wyoming Offensive Coordinator and
Quarterbacks Coach, Gregg Brandon, knows Bowling Green well. Bowling Green, Ohio, is where he got his first chance to be a college head football coach, and where he spent nearly one-third of his 30-year coaching career.

Bronc Senior Jordan Roberts ran wild in Evanston (354 yards / 4 Td's)

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Evanston 42 to 35. Jordan Roberts rushed for 354 yards and four touchdowns. The Broncs are back at home next Friday when they host Rock Springs.

The Big Horn Rams go to 2-1 after shutting out Wright 31-0 Friday afternoon. The Rams play at Glenrock next week.

Both the games will be broadcast live next Friday.

The Wyoming Cowboys play at Bowling Green today; kickoff is at 10:00 on AM 1410 KWYO.
