Sheridan v Gillette Soccer tonight / Trooper baseball home opener Sunday

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer end the regular season this evening hosting a conference double header with Gillette the Broncs play at 4:00, the girls varsity match will go at 6:00.

The Lady Broncs are still in the hunt for an automatic bid into the state tournament but they must win tonight, Head coach Mallery Marshall says tonight's match should be very competitive.

AC's Shayna Kretschman Signs with Sheridan College

Arvada Clearmont High School standout Shayna Kretschman has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Sheridan College next season.

“We have been watching Shayna the last two seasons at Arvada Clearmont, and really like her skills,” said Sheridan College coach Frank McCarthy. “We feel she can shoot the basketball and also put it on the floor and get to the rim.

She comes from a very good high school program, under the direction of Farrah Patterson.Shayna is also a very good student with a 3.9 GPA.

TR's Rawlings signs at Sheridan college

Tongue River point guard, Sarah Rawlings, has committed to Sheridan College to play basketball for the Lady Generals next season.

The 5’5 point guard led Tongue River to the 2A State Championship title the last two seasons, and held a 54-2 record over both seasons. Rawlings made All-Conference and All-State in her sophomore, junior, and senior years, and averaged 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in her senior season, while also being named 2A East Co-Player of the Year.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer regular season ends tomorrow with both teams hosting a conference double header with Gillette at 4:00 and 6:00.

The Lady Broncs are still in the running for an automatic bid into the state tournament, they must win tomorrow and get some help from Laramie in their match with Cheyenne East, Head coach Mallery Marshall says it's amazing to play an entire season and have the last game be the most important.

Youth Soccer tournament this weekend

The Sheridan County Soccer Association (SCSA) announces the 10th Annual Snickers Big Horn Soccer Cup will be held in Sheridan May 10 - 11, 2014.

This youth soccer tournament hosted by SCSA will be held at the Big Horn Equestrian Center with games starting at 8am Saturday and Sunday morning according to Jimmy Legerski, Tournament Director.

This year is the tournament’s 10th Anniversary and it is expected to be the largest yet with 125 teams from Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska and 1950 players.

Troopers home opener is Sunday afternoon

TRACK AND FIELD - The high school track and field regular season ends Friday for the Broncs and Lady Broncs with Gillette hosting an invitational.

Head coach Art Bauers says it's one of the final chances to get qualified for the state championships.

And Bauers says all the state meet pre-qualifiers will get a little rest this week.

East Regional meets start next week 4-A will be in Cheyenne and 1-A /2-A will be in Torrington.

Spring Sports Regular season ends Friday

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams will close out the regular season Friday hosting games with Gillette the boys will start at 4:00 the girls follow at 6:00.

The Lady Broncs are in a battle for the final automatic state tournament bid and need a victory Friday to ensure that spot, it's a little different in the boys conference race the Broncs sit in 4th place and Head coach Kevin Riser says 4th is where the Broncs expect to finish.

Youth Volleyball Champs

The Sheridan Volleyball Club Green team won the U12B Gold Bracket at the PRVC Invitational in Gillette May 3rd.
