SC announces familiar face as Generals men’s soccer head coach
Sheridan College announced the selection of Austin Albers as the inaugural men’s soccer head coach. Albers joined the General’s coaching staff in the fall of last year as the Assistant Volleyball Coach.

“I am so pleased that Austin will be serving our student-athletes in this new capacity,” said Sheridan College Athletics Director Steve Smiley. “Austin has proven himself time and again to be forward-thinking, energetic, and student-focused.

SC RODEO RESULTS

The Sheridan College Rodeo team traveled to Fort Collins, CO this past Thursday to compete at the Colorado State University Rodeo.

The men’s team finished the weekend 4th behind EWC, University of Wyoming and Casper College respectively.

The men’s team is now sitting 5th in the region with 1955 team points. This places us 5th in the region behind EWC, UW, Gillette and Casper, all very tough and talented teams.

SPRING SPORTS RAMP BACK UP THIS WEEK

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams will play Cheyenne East and Central this week the girls are 1-1 in conference play and will travel for the matches.

Lady Bronc junior Emily Julian has scored three goals in the Lady Broncs last three matches and says this games in Cheyenne are big for the Lady Broncs.

The Broncs will play at home Friday night the JV's play at 4:00 with the varsity at 6:00 and Saturday matches will be at 10:00 and noon.

ON-LINE BENEFIT AUCTION OPENS TODAY

WESTON JOHNSON BENEFIT AUCTION - Today is the first day of the Weston Johnson benefit auction on-line at Sheridanmedia.com.

Johnson is a former Wyoming Cowboy and current SHS assistant coach and is battling melanoma.

LOCAL SPORTS HAS THE WEEKEND OFF SCHEDULE RESUMES NEXT FRIDAY

SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams resume conference play next week with matches against Cheyenne East and Central the Broncs will play at home the Lady Broncs on the road.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete at their next meet in Casper next Friday at Kelly Walsh high school.

TROOPERS - The Sheridan Troopers open the season April 27th at home hosting a double header with Cody. We will broadcast the home opener live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER / SC NAMES FIRST SOCCER COACH

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams played in Buffalo Thursday night.

The Lady Broncs beat the Lady Bison 2-1 and the boys match ended in a 1-All overtime draw Bronc's Head coach Kevin Riser.

Next week they resume conference play with Cheyenne East and Central the Broncs will play at home the Lady Broncs on the road.
