MORE WITH SHS AD DON JULIAN / POKES WIN MWC TOURNEY OPENER

SHS ACTIVITIES - We continue our visit today with Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.

Julian says their is a hard working group of coaches that work with the youth at Sheridan high school and right now the whole staff remains strong.

And he says spring season is in full swing and the students are doing a good job of getting themselves ready to compete.

And finally today things to watch for coming up in the 2013-14 sports season beginning in the fall.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams open the regular season Friday against Riverton the Broncs will play at home the Lady Broncs play on the road. JV's will play at 4:00 the varsity will go at 6:00.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams open their season on Saturday, at the Casper "Earlybird" invitational.

BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will begin their season Monday, March 25th with their first day of practice.

MWC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT - The Wyoming Cowboys beat Nevada Tuesday night on the opening night of the Mountain West conference basketball tournament.

The pokes used a 19-4 run to start the second half to pull away and held off the Wolfpack late for the victory.

Larry Nance junior led four in double figures with 19 points. the cowboys play top seed New Mexico tonight we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio. pregame starts at 7:00 with the tip at 7:30.

The Cowgirls open the tournament tomorrow night against Colorado state pregame is at 9:00 tip at 9:30 on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
