BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs jumped on Laramie and led 24-0 and went onto to win 27-7 to pick up their 5th straight win. This week the Broncs make the long journey to Evanston. We will have the game live for you on AM 1410 KWYO. Friday night kick-off is at 7 o'clock.
RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams lost 13-6 at Thermopolis Friday. The Rams fall to 2-3 on the season. They play at home for the first time in three weeks Friday afternoon, hosting Moorcroft. The game will be played at Sheridan High School and will kick off at 1 o'clock. The game will also be broadcast live on AM 1410 KWYO.
EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles dropped a 26-12 loss to Wright Friday. The Eagles travel this week to play at Newcastle Friday night.
UW - The Wyoming Cowboys picked up their 2nd straight win by winning at Florida Atlantic 30-28 Saturday afternoon. The Pokes got a late touchdown to win it; they play at home Saturday against New Mexico.
NFL - The Denver Broncos beat Dallas yesterday 17-10. Champ Bailey knocked away a potential game-tying touchdown pass with one second to play. The Broncos are the surprise team of the NFL at 4-0. They host New England Sunday.
TENNIS - The Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 2nd at the State Tennis Tournament. Emily Holst and Maria Dernalova finished 2nd in #1 and #2 Single. In Doubles play, Noelle Golinvaux and Rachel Wood placed 3rd in #1 Doubles and the team of Haley King and Taylor Street placed 3rd in #3 Doubles. The Broncs placed 7th overall, with Matt Miller and Zach Hill placing 4th in #1 Doubles.
SHS VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team beat Bozeman, Montana, but lost matches to Billings West, Senior and Skyview in the Border War Volleyball Tournament Saturday. This week, they are on the road for matches at Laramie Friday and Casper Kelly Walsh Saturday.
TR VOLLEYBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles had a great weekend at a tournament in the Big Horn Basin. They went unbeaten with victories Saturday over Saratoga and Burlington. This week, the Lady Eagles play a double-header Saturday at Sundance and Moorcroft.
BH VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams split their weekend matches, winning at Thermopolis Friday and dropping a 5-set match to Sundance on Saturday. The Lady Rams host Moorcroft Thursday and play at Wright Friday.
CROSS-COUNTRY - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc cross-country teams had a good day in Billings Saturday. Both teams finished 2nd in the Billings Invitational. Lela Carpenter won the girls' race with Dana Morin 2nd and Lauren Buyan 10th. The Bronc's Dylan Morin won the boys' race.
This week both varsity teams will compete in a 7-on-7 Race in Helena, Montana Thursday afternoon.
SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers had the weekend off. They host duals with Riverton and Cody Friday and compete at an Invitational in Gillette Saturday.
LOCAL GOLF - Sheridan golfer Nate Wilson competed at the USGA'S National Mid-Am Golf Tournament at Kiawah Island, South Carolina over the weekend.
The tournament consisted of two qualifying rounds Saturday and Sunday. Wilson failed to qualify for the match play portion of the event with rounds of 77 and 83. Wilson made the field for the Mid-Am Tournament by winning a qualifying event at the Powder Horn.
MLB - The Colorado Rockies open the National League Divisional Playoffs Wednesday and Thursday at Philadelphia. Both games will be played in the afternoon at 12:30; the Rockies host Game 3 Saturday night.
