BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team won a thriller at Homer Scott Stadium Friday night. They fell behind 20-7, but scored 21 straight points in the second half to beat Cheyenne Central 28-20, and get to 7-1 on the season. The Broncs will have the home field advantage when the play-offs begin next week, so they want to finish the regular season strong at Natrona County Friday night.
We will be with the Broncs when they take on the Mustangs; you can hear the game live on AM 1410 KWYO; the First Federal Pre-game Show will start at 6:30 with kick-off at 7 o'clock.
BH / TR FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Tongue River Eagles played Friday, and it was all Big Horn as they shut out the Eagles 20-0. The Rams know they will make the 2-A play-offs if they win at Newcastle Friday, and they also know they will have to travel for their first-round game.
The Eagles will close out their season with a home game Friday against Thermopolis.
UW FOOTBALL - The University of Wyoming Cowboys' defense played Air Force tough Saturday, but the offense didn't do a thing, and the Pokes fell 10-0. Wyoming is now 4-3 overall and 2-1 on Conference play. They have this week off; their next game will be on the 31st at Utah. The next home game will be November 7th when they host BYU.
NFL - The Denver Broncos put their unbeaten record on the line tonight against division opponent San Diego. The game will be played in Southern California, and we will have it live for you on AM 1410 KWYO. Bronco Pre-game will start at 5:30.
SHS CROSS-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross-country teams competed in the North 4-A Regional Meet Friday in Sheridan. Both teams finished 2nd overall. Dylan Morin finished 2nd overall with Seth Ulvestad 9th.
Dana Morin and Lela Carpenter finished 1st and 2nd; Lauren Buyan finished in the Top 10 for the Lady Broncs as well.
This week Sheridan will host the State Championships -- races begin Saturday morning at the Sheridan VA. There will be six races: the three boys' races will be in the morning with 2-A starting at 10:30; 4-A will start at 11:05; and 3-A at 11:40.
All three girls' races will be in the afternoon: the
2-A race will start at 12:15 followed by the 4-A race at 12:50. The 3-A race will be at 1:25.
SHS SWIMMING AND DIVING - Saturday in Casper, the Lady Broncs finished 4th in the 4-A East Regional. The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers have a couple of weeks to get ready for the Wyoming State Swimming and Diving Championships. The State Championships will be held in Gillette in two weeks.
HS VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team will head to the East 4-A Regional Tournament this week in Laramie. Play begins Friday; the top four advance to the State Tournament.
The Big Horn Lady Rams volleyball team got road victories at Moorcroft and Sundance to end the regular season over the weekend. Now it's on to the post season: they play at the 2-A East Regional Friday in Gillette.
The Tongue River Lady Eagles swept weekend matches against Wright and Riverside. They will play a match tonight at home against Moorcroft; the game is technically a Regional Tournament game. The winner will advance to the 2-A East Regional Bracket Play Tournament in Gillette. Tonight's match will start at 5 o'clock.
SC VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan College Lady Generals start a 6-match home stand starting tomorrow night against Rocky Mountain College. Action gets underway at 7 o'clock.
