BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs broke open their game at Evanston early in the second half and went on to to beat the Red Devils 46-21. That's six straight wins, and now at 7-1 they host a huge game this week with 7-1 Cheyenne Central this Friday.

The game with Central is by far the biggest game of the year for the Broncs; kick-off Friday night is early, with the game scheduled to start at 6 o'clock.

***The Bronc JV's will play this afternoon at 4:30 at Homer Scott Stadium.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - Congrats to the Tongue River Eagles; they picked up their first win of the season winning 7-0 at Newcastle Saturday. This week, the Eagles play Big Horn at Homer Scott Stadium Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The event is the "2nd Annual Pink Bowl," and proceeds will go to the Kelly Schreibeis Memorial Foundation. Those in attendance are invited to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams postponed their game with Moorcroft last Friday; the game will be played this evening at 6 o'clock at Sheridan High School. The Rams are the "home" team for the Pink Bowl with TR Friday.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves' postponed game at Lingle will be played today as well. The Wolves play at Lusk Friday night.

POKES FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys scored 30 or more points for the third straight week in beating up New Mexico Saturday 37-13. The Pokes have won three in a row, sit at 4-2 on the season and 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play. Saturday Wyoming plays at the Air Force Academy.

NFL - The Broncos continue to win and sit at 5-0 after beating New England 20-17 in overtime yesterday. Next up for Denver is a road game at San Diego a week from tonight.

HS VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs dropped two on the road at Laramie and Casper Kelly Walsh over the weekend. This week, the Lady Broncs are at home with the Cheyenne schools: they have East Friday at 5 o'clock and Central Saturday at noon.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles split two matches, losing at Sundance but beating Moorcroft. This Thursday, October 15th, the Lady Eagles play at Big Horn against the Lady Rams for their 2nd Annual "Dig Pink" matches in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Play begins at 4:30, with donations going to the Kelly Schreibeis Memorial Foundations. The varsity match is scheduled for 7:30.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers finished 14th at the Gillette Invitational. They compete at the North 4-A Conference Meet in Casper Friday and Saturday.

CROSS COUNTRY - The Sheridan High School cross-country runners also begin the post-season; this week they host the North 4-A Regional Meet Saturday at the Sheridan VA.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies lost at home 6-5 to Philadelphia last night. The Phillies lead the series 2-1. Game 4 is tonight in Denver; the game will start officially at 2:07 this afternoon, and you can hear the game on our HD Sports Station 93.7 FM HD Channel 2 ESPN Radio. Game 5 if needed will take place in Philadelphia tomorrow night.

The American League Championship series will start Friday with the LA Angels playing at the Yankees.
