SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams have five non-Conference games to play before they start Conference play.

It starts this week with three games in Riverton. They play Star Valley Thursday, Riverton Friday and Evanston Saturday. Game times are at 6:00 and 7:30 Thursday and Friday, and 3:00 and 4:30 Saturday afternoon. All six games will be broadcast live on AM 1410 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The Lady Broncs are 6-1 overall, Head coach Derek Bissitt says the next two weeks are huge for the Lady Broncs as they get ready to open Conference play.

The players have put in a lot of time in the gym, and so far the coaches and players are having a great time.

The Broncs are 5-2. Head coach Mike Ibach says having three games this week is exactly what they need to begin the new year.

All three games are expected to be tough. Even though they beat Riverton during the first week of the season, they know the Wolverines will be tough, especially on their home court along with Star Valley and Evanston.

TONGUE RIVER BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles play at Moorcroft Friday, and then are at home with Lovell Saturday. The Lady Eagles will play at Moorcroft and will also obe n the road at Lovell Saturday.

BIG HORN BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams host games with Wright Friday, then they're on the road for games at Moorcroft next Saturday.

STATE BASKETBALL RANKINGS - The Lady Rams open the new year ranked number #1 in Class 2A. They are the 2-time defending State Champs. The Tongue River Lady Eagles are ranked #3.

The Lady Broncs are 5th in the 4A rankings with the Broncs sitting in the #2 spot.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers host Casper Kelly Walsh in a dual Friday evening. The JV matches will get underway at 5:00, with the varsity matches set to begin at 6:00.

BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Broncs host a “Double” dual with Worland and Gillette Thursday starting at 4:00.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc Indoor Track season begins after school today with the first official practice of 2010.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Generals and Lady Generals will open 2010 Friday with games in the Hoffman Dome against Central Wyoming. Game times are 5:30 and 7:30.

On Saturday they host more Wyoming Conference games with Western Wyoming. Game times will be at 3:00 and 5:00.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys played Adams State Saturday and got their record to 7-7 on the season, winning 123-71.

The Pokes play Colorado State at home Wednesday night -- broadcast time is at 5:30 with the tip at 6:00 on AM 1410 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

DENVER BRONCOS - The Denver Broncos got drilled by the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday 44-24, ending their season with an 8-8 record. Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles ripped up the Broncos for a Chiefs team record 259 yards rushing.

After starting 6-0, the Broncos went 2-8 in the last 10 games and missed the play-offs for the second straight year.
