LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Lady Broncs are 2-0 after weekend victories over Green River and an overtime win against Billings West. The Lady Broncs beat West 65-59; Kayla Woodward had 25 points in the victory. Tomorrow night, they play at home against Buffalo.
BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs split their games, beating Green River Friday 78-51, and losing Saturday night at Billings West 79-69.
West jumped out to a 15-point lead after the first quarter, and the Broncs couldn't catch up. Head coach Mike Ibach says they got a good learning experience in that game. And they have today to get ready to play atBuffalo.
The part of their game lacking Saturday was defensive intensity. Ibach says they need to get a lot better on that side of the ball. Tomorrow night the Broncs play at Buffalo, the Bison are ranked #1 in Class 3-A. It will be back-to-back tough games for the Broncs.
Both teams play Buffalo tomorrow. The Broncs will play in Buffalo while the Lady Broncs host the Bison -- we will be in Buffalo tomorrow to bring you the Bronc game live on AM 1410 KWYO. Game time is 7:00. On Saturday, the Broncs and Lady Broncs will play a non-conference double-header against Riverton at 2:00 and 3:30.
BH BASKETBALL - In other weekend basketball, the Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams went 6-0 at a tournament in Lusk with victories over Burns, Lusk and Pine Bluffs.
GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan College Generals beat Lake Region 114-80 Friday, and Western Nebraska 86-69 Saturday. They now have a 9-1 record and head to Casper for a game Friday, then come back home to play Gillette Saturday.
LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals beat up Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana yesterday 82-35. They are now 9-2 overall. They also travel to play at Casper Friday and at home with Gillette Saturday.
BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 10th at the Powell Invitational tournament. Top finishers were Clay Carter, 4th at 130 pounds; Trevor Goss, 4th at 140; and Devan Reilly, 2nd at 145.
This weekend the Bronc varsity will compete at the Rapid City Invitational. The Bronc JV's will compete at an invitational in Forsyth, Montana.
UW FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football team learned last night they will play in the New Mexico Bowl Saturday, December 19th. Their opponent will be Fresno State. Bowl invitations became official last night with the Cowboys and Bulldogs getting the first invites. The New Mexico Bowl is the first of 34 bowl games to be played. We will broadcast the game live on AM 1410 KWYO -- broadcast time on the 19th will be at 1:30.
The college bowl season will conclude with the National Championship game, featuring Texas against Alabama January 7th.
UW BASKETBALL - The Cowboy basketball team beat Loyola-Marymount Saturday 76-70 to get their record back to 4-4 overall.
The Cowboys' next game is Saturday against Northern Colorado. The game will be played in Casper, and we will have it live on our sister station 95.9 FM. Broadcast time will be 2:30.
NFL- The Denver Broncos had no problem with Kansas City yesterday, winning 44-13. This week, they play at unbeaten Indianapolis.
