MARCH MADNESS BEGINS

4-A EAST REGIONAL HOOPS - The 4-A East regional basketball tournament opens today at Cheyenne East high school.

The Sheridan Lady Broncs will play an elimination game tonight at 7:00 against Cheyenne South we will broadcast it live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The Lady Broncs beat South in blow out fashion in both regular season games and Head coach Sean Yeager says the Lady Broncs need to get off to a fast start against the Bison.

If they advance they will play Laramie in tomorrow's semi finals

The Broncs got a first round bye and will play in the semi finals tomorrow night.

Head coach Mike Ibach says the 18-2 Broncs accomplished their first goal of this season that was winning the regular season title last week.

And he says the players have done a good job this week of making sure they are ready for the opener tomorrow.

They play at 8:30 tomorrow night against the winner of today's game between Laramie and Cheyenne Central and Ibach says both team are similar.

2-A STATE HOOPS - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and Big Horn Rams open up the state 2-A basketball bracket this afternoon at Casper college and we will broadcast both games live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The Rams will play Wind River at Noon the Lady Eagles will play Shoshoni at 4:30.

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - The State Indoor track and field championships will be held in Gillette events get underway tomorrow morning.

YOUTH BASEBALL - Sheridan Youth Baseball will hold a special preseason parent informational and registration meeting tonight starting at 6:00 at the Sheridan junior high.

Sheridan Youth Baseball oversees the Little League and Babe Ruth baseball programs.

The Little League player / parent meeting will start at 6:30 that's for 9-12 year olds and the Babe Ruth meeting for 13-15 year olds with their parents will start at 7:00.

The Sheridan Recreation District will also be on hand tonight to register those players for the Webb Wright baseball program.
