LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs will close out the regular season on the road at Cheyenne Central and East this week Head coach Derek Bissitt says the conference title is on the line.

The Lady Broncs are tied for the conference lead with Gillette if they both win two in Cheyenne this week the conference title will be decided by a tie breaker.

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs gave Gillette a great run in the razor city but came up two points short as the Camels held off the Broncs 53-51.

The Broncs had their chances but couldn't get a couple of breaks to go their way late Head coach Mike Ibach.

And Ibach says the effort Friday really gets them jump started into a good week getting ready to host the Cheyenne schools.

We will broadcast all four games live starting Friday night with the Lady Broncs at Cheyenne Central at 7:30 on 95.9 FM and the Broncs and Central at 7:30 on KWYO.

Saturday the Broncs play east at 11:45 on KWYO and the Lady Broncs play East at 1:30 on 95.9 FM.

TR / BH BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles finished up the regular season sweeping all four games with Greybull and Sundance.

The Big Horn rams swept Sundance and Rocky Mountain to finish the regular season 22-0. The lady Rams split winning at Sundance and losing to Rocky Mountain.

All four teams head to the East regional this week in Newcastle games begin Thursday.

In the girls bracket the Lady Rams open at 9:00 Thursday morning against Southeast and the Lady Eagles play at 4:00 against the Lingle / Lusk play-in game winner.

The Rams will open Thursday night at 7:00 against the play-in game winner either Southeast or Pine Bluffs. The Eagles open play Thursday at noon against Lingle.

1-A REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The NSI Wolves will open up the 1-A East regional in Douglas Thursday at 5:30 and the Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers open Thursday night at 7:00.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 3rd in the 4-A east regional tournament in Cheyenne.

Two Broncs won championships and eight in total placed in the top four.

Clay Carter won the regional title at 125 and Lucas Giesey took the championship at 160.

Trevor Goss and Andrew Lobach each placed 2nd at 140 and 145. Derek Berrettini was 4th at 119, Jay Sandvig was 3rd at 135, Joe Shankey was 4th at 160, Evan Forsyth was 3rd at 171 and Cody Delk was 4th at 189.

The all-class state wrestling championships get underway Friday morning at 9:00 at the Casper events center.

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - Two Sheridan high school track athletes metaled at the 2011 Simplot games that ended Saturday night in Pocatello, Idaho.

Bronc senior distance runner Dylan Morin ran his fastest time ever in the 3200 meters and finished 2nd setting and new Sheridan high school record in the process.

Tongue River high school's Hunter Vineyard who competes indoors for the Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 5th in the high jump.

WYOMING BASKETBALL - In college basketball the Wyoming Cowboys host the Air Force Academy Wednesday night. You can hear the game live on AM 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM broadcast time is at 7:30. The Pokes will play at UNLV Saturday night.
