LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team had one match postponed but did get to play Saturday.
Their match at Casper Kelly Walsh was postponed Friday and will be made up tomorrow afternoon they did play at Laramie Saturday.
The Plainsmen got by the Lady Broncs 1-0 Head coach Tom Racette says it was a difficult weekend to travel and it was a factor in Saturday's match.
They have three regular season games to play at Kelly tomorrow and at home Friday and Saturday with the Cheyenne schools before heading to the regional tournament next week in Casper.
The Lady Broncs are having a very good season just a year ago they had no victories and missed the state tournament and Racette says the girls have done a great job in turning their fortunes around.
And he says the turn around hasn't been a surprise to the players or coaches.
They play at KW tomorrow afternoon and host Cheyenne East Friday night and Central Saturday afternoon.
BRONC SOCCER - The Broncs split their weekend conference games they beat Kelly Walsh Friday night 1-0 and dropped a 1-0 decision against Laramie Saturday.
The Broncs close out the regular season this week on the road at Cheyenne East Friday and Central Saturday.
Next week the Broncs will play at their regional tournament in Laramie while the Lady Broncs play at their regional hosted by Kelly Walsh high school.
All state tournament qualifiers will meet in Sheridan for the state soccer championships in three weeks. 32 teams will compete in the three day event at the Big Horn Equestrian center.
TRACK AND FIELD - The Wyoming high school activities association will hold the annual Wyoming track and field classic in Casper today. The event was postponed because of poor weather and travel conditions last Friday.
The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete this week at a meet in Gillette Friday and will host the regional track meet in Sheridan May 13th and 14th.
The meet will include the 4-A East teams along with the 1-A / 2-A East regional meets as well.
BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers get back into action this week with an 18 hole tournament in Riverton Friday and another one round event in Casper Saturday.
Sheridan high school will host their own Invitational next Tuesday at Kendrick golf course, that meet will end the regular season.
The spring high school golf season will end in two weeks at the conference tournament in Cheyenne.
TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split two season opening games in Casper Sunday games set for Gillette were canceled Saturday and all the teams headed to Casper to play yesterday.
The Troops opened the season with a 11-1 loss at the hands of Post 6 from Cheyenne but came back with an 8-3 victory over the Casper Oilers.
The Troops will play their home opener this week with a double header against Powell we will be broadcasting the opener live on AM 14-10 KWYO.
The first pitch is scheduled to be tossed out at 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
