LOCAL BASEBALL / NHSFR BULL RIDING CHAMP/ POST SEASON BASEBALL THIS WEEK

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers play a double header in Laramie tonight, then back to back conference games in Cheyenne tomorrow and back home to face Casper Wednesday night at Thorne-Rider stadium .

The Troops are 2-1 in conference play, the conference records will seed the teams for the state tournament.

The Troopers have been off for a week and they seen each opponent with the exception of Casper they've played Laramie three times in their last five games and took two out of three from the Rangers Head coach Ben Phillips.

The games with the Rangers tonight will be a tune up for the games with Cheyenne and Casper and it puts a lot on trooper pitching over the next three days.

And with a week off the team should be well rested heading into action this week.

The game with the Oilers is the final home game of the season for the troops and will be our next live broadcast.

The game will be played Wednesday night first pitch will be at 6:00 it's scheduled as a single nine inning game and will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.

The Troopers will be back in Cheyenne for their state tournament set to begin on July 31st.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will host the American Legion "B" state tournament set to begin Thursday at Thorne-Rider stadium.

LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL - The Sheridan little league all-star team won their district tournament championship over the weekend. the team heads to the little state tournament in Laramie which is scheduled to start Wednesday.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies opened the 2nd half of the Major League baseball season taking two out of three from the Chicago Cubs winning Sunday 4-3.

They open another home series tonight with the Miami Marlins and you can hear tonight's game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio Rockies on deck starts at 6:05 with the first pitch at 6:40.

NHSFR - The National high school finals rodeo wrapped up over the weekend in Rock Springs. Arvada's Bryce Burnell was the bull riding champion he scored 225 points and three bulls to win the title.

BRONC FOOTBALL - Local football season is not far off the Sheridan Broncs will open their Pre season camp Monday August 12th the Broncs open the season playing two out of their first three on the road.

They open at Laramie August 30th the home opener is against Kelly Walsh on September 6th then a road game at Evanston on September 13th.

The Broncs will play five home games this season with four on the road.
