Bronc / Lady Bronc basketball in Gillette next week / Pokes fall against Marshall / Broncos v Bengals Monday night

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams play next week in the Energy classic tournament in Gillette the Lady Broncs are 3-1 the Broncs are 2-2 as they get ready to play Monday.

Lady Broncs Head coach Jessica Pickett says the team showed their youth in their loss against Billings West.

But she says they have good young talent and they just need more varsity play. And they are looking forward to playing in Gillette next week.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams dropped games to Billings West Friday night the Broncs lost on the road 82-67 while the Lady Broncs fell 63-58 at home, Robbi Ryan had 31 points to lead the Lady Broncs.

Head coach Jessica Pickett says the team will rely a lot on the play of their three seniors, Ryan, along with Jamie Shassetz and Kaycen Townsend.

Both teams will play next week in the Energy classic tournament in Gillette.

WINTER SPORTS SEASON - We are a week into the winter sports season this weekend will be the final competition until after Christmas, Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says the winter sports are off to a great start.

And he says they were able to build a lot of momentum during the fall season and that success has carried over into the winter season.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc varsity wrestlers finished 11th at the Rapid City invitational Hayden Hastings was the lone Bronc champion winning at 160 pounds the rest of the team opened the season at a big tournament in Powell and overall Head coach Tyson Shatto says it was a good opening weekend for all the wrestlers.

And he said the tournament in Rapid City was a tough tournament to start the season with and seeing Hayden Hastings win in his bracket was a very good start for him.
