LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - In first round action at the state basketball Sheridan Lady Broncs led 20-9 after the first quarter and went onto beat Riverton 51-38 to advance to the semi finals in the girls 4-A bracket.

Robbi Ryan led the scoring with 20 points they will play Natrona county this evening in the next round.

NC whipped Cheyenne Central to advance, the semi final is scheduled to tip at 4:30 and we will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

As expected the Gillette girls and Cheyenne East advanced and will play in the other semi final.

The boys semi finals will have Cheyenne Central playing Gillette and Cheyenne East playing Casper Kelly Walsh.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys MWC tournament ended with a 71-67 loss against UNLV.

The Pokes were down by eight with :53 seconds to play and cut the lead to two in :30 seconds but the Rebels made late freethrows and went on to the victory.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls play in the women's semi finals this afternoon against Colorado state. We will have the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is 12:30.

SPRING SPORTS - The springs sports season begins on March 22nd for the Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams they compete at a meet in Casper.

Next month Sheridan high school will host two meets, the Gary Benson invitational April 22nd and the Dan Hansen invite on April 26th.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open their season with matches against Riverton on the 21st.

SPRING SPORTS MEETING - The spring sports parent meeting will be held Monday night at 6:30 in the SHS auditorium. All spring sports parents are asked to attend.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Sheridan American legion baseball will hold their annual player / parent meeting Wednesday evening at 6:00 in the Sheridan high school cafeteria. All prospective Sheridan Troopers and Jets players along with their parents should attend.
