LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Lady Broncs won in Gillette for the first time in 19 years Friday night holding off a late Camel rally for a 72-69 win. Head coach Derek Bissitt says they knew it was going to be as tough night.
The Lady Broncs had a seven point lead but the Camels kept the pressure on making the Lady Broncs hit free throws to preserve the win and Bissitt says they made some big plays in the game's closing minute.
And he says it was great to see the Lady Broncs walk off the Gillette court with a victory. Kayla Woodward led the way with 25 points, Steph Sessions had 17 and Hailey Ligocki had14. The lady Bronc JV's also won in Gillette to make it a sweep.
The Lady Broncs are now 15-0 and 3-0 in conference play and will host games with Cheyenne East Friday and Cheyenne Central Saturday.
BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs lost to Gillette last Thursday and head out on the road this week for more conference action in Cheyenne. Head coach Mike Ibach says this just didn't have enough Thursday night.
They got some good minutes in the second half from their underclassmen and Ibach says that will start paying off.
The Broncs play at East Friday night and Central Saturday afternoon.
RAMS BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams won both games over Riverside and Rocky Mountain to remain unbeaten they beat the Rebels 61-37 and the Grizzlies 71-47.
They may have chance to make the number one ranking this week after Lovell picked up their second loss at Wyoming Indian Friday night.
LADY RAMS BASKETBALL - The Lady Rams beat Riverside Friday but lost their first game of the season Saturday at Rocky Mountain the Grizzlies beat the Lady Rams 51-31.
EAGLES / LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles swept all four of their games over the weekend posting victories over Wright and Greybull.
COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming cowboys got rocked at San Diego state Saturday night . The game was an absolute walk over for the Aztecs as they went out to a 14-0 lead and led by 31 at halftime and cruised to a 96-57 win.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers lost to close duals with Cheyenne Central and East Saturday. Central beat the Broncs 39-37 and East took their dual 38-36.
The Broncs have really turned their fortunes around in a year Head coach Terry Burgess says they've come along way in the last 12 months.
And he says it's onward and upward for the next month before the state championships at the end of February.
INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams were in Spearfish, South Dakota Friday.
Dylan Morin set a new Bronc indoor record in the 3200 meters and Hunter Vineyard tied her Lady Bronc indoor high jump record she set the week before.
