LADY BRONCS PREPARE FOR STATE HOOPS / SPRING SPORTS BEGIN

LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan Lady Broncs bronc basketball team opens the 4-A state tournament as a number one seed Thursday morning they open with green river in the first game in the bracket at 9:00.

In the last two weekends the Lady Broncs have won the regular season conference title and the conference tournament title beating Gillette twice on the way to both titles.

Head coach Sean Yeager says it was especially good for the Lady Broncs to win that conference tournament championship on Gillette's home court.

And he talks about preparation for the state tournament opener Thursday.

1-A / 2-A ALL STATE BASKETBALL - Five Sheridan county athletes have been named to all-state basketball teams they are from class 1-A Arvada/Clearmont Bailey Roebling and two each from 2-A Big Horn and Tongue River.

Sarah Rawlings and Sarah Nielsen made the team from the state champion Tongue River Lady Eagles and from Big Horn Hannah Puckett for the Lady Rams and Matt Wigglesworth for the Rams.

LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college Lady Generals continue play in the quarter finals of the women's region nine tournament in Scottsbluff, Nebraska today. After an off day Monday they face Ctero cc college from La Juanta, Colorado today.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams just finished up the 2013 indoor season and have now moved to the outdoor season and it was typical for the season to begin indoors as the snow and wind raged outside.

As the indoor season wrapped up Head coach Art Bauers says they had a productive indoor championship
meet.

And he says it's not a shock for anyone to know they are practicing inside on the first day of the outdoor season.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams were inside on the first day of the spring season because of weather.

Lady Bronc Head coach Tom Racette says the players are used to make adjustments because of the weather.

And he talks about the new two weeks of preparation before the season opener.

On the boys side Broncs Head coach Kevin Riser says the players were really excited to get going on the first day well.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys and Wyoming Cowgirls close out the regular season tomorrow night against Colorado state we will have the Pokes and Rams for you live from the Double "AA" on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio. Cowboy pregame starts at 7:30 with the tip at 8:00.

The Men's and Women's Mountain West conference tournament starts a week from today in Las Vegas.
