Lady Bison Swimmers Headed to State

The Lady Bison swim team was at the Conference meet last week in Newcastle, and had a number of great finishes. The girls took fourth as a team.
Taking the top spot in the 200 medley relay was the team of Hannah Chapin, Misty Ballek, Caley Stafford and Sara Ott, and they also took second in the 200 free relay.
Chapin took first in the 100 freestyle, and Stafford finished first in the 100 breaststroke, and Gracie Meachum won the diving event.
Other great finishes for the Lady Bison were: Stafford finishing second in the 200IM; Chapin second in to 50 free; Ott third in the 200 free and third in the 500 free; Ballek third in the 100 backstroke; Jenna Elmlinger fourth in diving; Ballek fourth in the 100 butterfly; Courtney Mauck tenth in the 500 free.
The relay team of Bailey House, Alex Velasquez, Mauck and Meachum finished fourth in the 400 free.
Rawlins won the Conference meet with 325 points, followed by Douglas with 262, Worland with 222, Buffalo with 221, and Newcastle with 154.

State Qualifiers:

Hannah Chapin: 200 free, 200 IM, 50 free, 100 butterfly, 100 free, 500 free, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke.
Sara Ott: 200 free, 100 free, 500 free, 100 breaststroke.
Caley Stafford: 200 IM, 100 butterfly, 100 free, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke.
Misty Ballek: 200IM, 50 free, 100 butterfly, 100 free, 500 free, 100 backstroke.
Jen Elmlinger: diving.
Gracie Meachum: diving.
Celina Leman: 100 butterfly.
