Kaycee BB Teams Qualify For State, Bison Crowned Champs

Kaycee's boys' and girls' basketball teams were at the 1A Northeast Regional Tournament this past weekend and both qualified for the State Tournament this Friday and Saturday in Casper.
The boys qualified through the loser's bracket, winning the Consolation Championship and will take a 3-seed into the tournament.
The girls remained unbeaten until the championship game where they fell to Lingle-Ft.Laramie. They will have a 2-seed at State.
In other basketball action, the Buffalo boys beat Glenrock at home Friday 64-50 and the girls downed the Lady Herders 47-33.
The Bison swim team finished a distant second at State to powerhouse Lander, but had a number of individual champions.
The 200 medley relay team of Nate Holt, Neil Medders, and Timohy and Josh Cohoon were crowned champions, as was Medders in the 500 free and Holt in the 100 back. Quite a few Bison placed in the top five.
Nate Holt was named the 3A Athlete Of The Meet.
Buffalo's wrestlers also had some great individual efforts at their State meet.
Jonathan Land finished second in the 120 pound class and at 126, Taylor Bell finished third.
