Fall Sports are winding down for Johnson County High School athletes with sports that already have or will move into the postseason this week.
In football, the Buffalo Bison finished their regular season at 4-4 after dispatching the visiting Rawlins Outlaws Friday night 46-0.
They will take the No. 3-seed from the East into the playoffs on the road against No. 2 from the West Star Valley this week.
Kaycee lost their regular season finale to Midwest Saturday 58-20 but will be the No.3-seed from the North and play at No.2 from the South Midwest this week in their opening round game.
In volleyball, the Lady Bison's season ended at the Regional Tournament this past weekend. Buffalo lost their first round match to Torrington 3-0 and their consolation round match to Newcastle 3-0, and their season is done.
Kaycee was also at their Regional Tournament where they beat Rock River 3-0, Lingle-Ft. Laramie 3-1 and then dropped the Championship match to Hulett 3-0 to finish second at the tournament.
They will move on to the State Tournament this weekend.
In cross country, the Bison had top finishes from Maggie Chapin for the girls who took fifth and Matt Scarlett for the boys who finished third at State. The girls team finished fourth and the boys team finished seventh.
And the Lady Bison swimmers were at their Conference meet this weekend, we'll have results when they are posted.
