TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open the baseball season tomorrow night at Thorne-Rider stadium.

hey will play a single nine inning game with Casper the first pitch will be tossed out at 7:00.

The Troops host a double header Sunday with the Powell Pioneers the first game will start at 1:00 and we will be broadcasting it live on 14-10 KWYO.

The Troopers entered their 7th week of practice this week and Head coach Ben Phillips says they are ready to see a live opponent.

Jo Co High School Track Teams Prepare For Regionals

Johnson County's high school track and field teams are getting ready for their regional events this weekend.

The BHS track team was at the Camel Qualifier in Gillette last week and will be in Worland Friday and Saturday for Regionals.
The 3A State Meet will be in Casper May 18th and 19th.

Kaycee's track team was at the Bobcat-Bulldog Invite in Upton last weekend for their last tune-up before Regionals this weekend in Cheyenne.
The 1A State Meet will be next weekend in Casper as well.

Bison, Lady Bison Soccer Teams Await Opponents At State

The matchups for the 3A soccer playoffs have been announced by, and both the Bison and Lady Bison teams will await the outcomes of State Qualifying games this weekend to know who their opponents will be at State.

The 3A State Qualifying Games will have the boys at Riverton and the girls at Lander this weekend.
For the boys, Cody will play Torrington this Friday, with the winner moving on to play the Bison in the first round at the State Tournament. Pinedale and Douglas will play in the other Friday qualifier for the chance to play Worland at State.


GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers hosted their spring invitational yesterday day at Kendrick golf course.

The Sheridan Broncs made it 31 consecutive tournament wins. Senior Kamrin Allen won the event with a round of 69, Chris Cremer shot 74, Ben Wollenzien shot 77, Jack Mavrakis 78 and Andrew Giorgis 80.

The spring golf season will end with the 4-A east conference tournament in Casper starting Monday.

TRACK AND FIELD - Regional track meets will be held Friday and Saturday at various sites around the state.


REGIONAL SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams head into the post season as number one seeds for their regional tournaments meaning both have automatic bids into the state tournament and will receive first round byes in the regional.

Both will open post season play in the semi finals Friday night both matches are scheduled for 6:00.

The Lady Broncs will open their tournament in Laramie and will play against the winner of Thursday 's match between Gillette and Cheyenne East.


BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams ended the regular season Friday night sweeping matches from Gillette the scores were identical 2-1.

Hartley Stewart scored on a corner kick in the 80th minute to give the Lady Broncs their victory.

They finish as the regular season conference champs after the victory over Gillette we talked with Head coach Tom Racette.

Johnson County High School Sports Weekend Wrap

The Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams finished their regular seasons on Friday by beating Newcastle. Both the boys and girls won by a 3-0 score.
For the girls, Rileigh Olsen, Charlotte McIntyre and Kaitlynn Armstrong all scored for Buffalo and Jenna Anderson had three saves at keeper.

Both teams will be at the State Tournament next weekend.

The Bison golf team hosted their tournament Friday after it was originally postponed the previous weekend.

The boys finished second and the girls took third.

Buffalo Soccer Scores From Friday

The Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams played their final regular season games on Friday against Newcastle.

The boys took down the Dogies on the road 3-0 to finish the regular season at 10-1-2.

The girls hosted the Lady Dogies and beat them by a score of 3-0. They finish their regular season at 9-5.

Both teams are off until next weekend's Regional Tournament.
