SHERIDAN BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams opened the season winning at home with Green River Friday. The Broncs lost 48-43 against Billings Skyview Saturday while the Lady Broncs went to Billings and won big Head coach Derek Bissitt. Brianna Smith led the Lady Broncs with 24 points, Kayla Woodward had 19.
Friday the Sheridan and Buffalo teams will play. The girls will play at Buffalo and the boys will play in Sheridan. Aaron Palmer will broadcast the girls game live on 95.9 FM. and the Bronc game can be heard on AM 14-10 KWYO both varsity games Tipoff at 7:30.
Saturday afternoon the Broncs and Lady Broncs will host a double header with Riverton.
TONGUE RIVER BASKETBALL - The Tongue River basketball teams split two games Saturday in Thermopolis the Lady Eagles beat Thermopolis and lost against Mountain View Head coach Diane Moser.
The Eagles went the other way beating Mountain View and losing against Thermop, the Eagles played a little short handed with some missing varsity players but Head coach Larry Moser says they did fine.
This week they play games against Rocky Mountain and Riverside.
BIG HORN BASKETBALL - The Big Horn basketball teams went 6-0 at a tournament in Lusk it was a clean sweep for the Rams and Lady Rams. Rams Head coach Ryan Alley says it was good to see the team pick up three good wins on the road to start the season.
The Rams and Lady Rams will play three more road tournament games this week in an event hosted by Glenrock.
GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals ran their record to 10-0 with two more victories at home over the weekend winning big both night's 103-34 against Colorado Christian and 103-75 Saturday over an All-star team.
This week the Generals and Lady Generals host games with Casper and Gillette Friday and Saturday.
BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 6th at the Powell tournament the Bronc JV's took the JV division title. Bronc 145 Pounder Trevor Goss won the event and was named the outstanding wrestler of the tournament Head coach Terry Burgess says it was a good opener for the Broncs.
And he says Trevor Goss got his season started off with a great performance. The Bronc JV's will compete at a tournament in Forsyth, Montana this week while the varsity will compete in the Rapid City invitational.
