An “interesting” weekend for high school sports around the state is over but repercussions will continue for a few weeks yet, until postponed games and tournaments are made up.
Thursday, Buffalo High School hosted their Buffalo Invite Swim Meet with Newcastle, Douglas and Rawlins participating. The Bison took 11 of the 12 competitions at the meet.
No results are availale for the meet in Douglas Saturday.
Many of Friday's competitions around the state were postponed due to the bad weather conditions, including Buffalo's home and away games with Wheatland. Both the boys' and girls' games will be made up on Saturday, January 26th with the boys hosting and the girls at Wheatland.
Saturday the teams did get their games in, with the boys losing at Rawlins 57-42 and the girls losing at home to the Lady Outlaws 50-44.
Buffalo's wrestling team made it to the Miles City Invite this weekend and the top finisher in the tournament was Kyle Burton who took fifth in the 105-lb class.
Kaycee's basketball teams defeated Midwest Thursday with the boys downing the Oilers 57-40 while the girls downed the Lady Oilers 36-29.
Kaycee's games with Ten Sleep were postponed and will be made up at a later date.
