BRONC AND LADY BRONC GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc golfers will be one of two favorites to win the 4-A golf state title in September. The Broncs and Lady Broncs open the 2010 season Thursday and Friday at a tournament in Riverton.

As freshmen and sophomores this year's Broncs won the state title in 2008 last year Evanston took the title away and the two teams look to be loaded up again this fall to challenge for the state title again.

The Broncs have put in a lot of time on the course over the summer not only playing every day but competing in several tournaments through the summer. the latest was this past weekend as the Kendrick golf association held their annual club championship at Kendrick golf course.

The top three finishers in the championship flight are all on the Bronc golf team. Kamrin Allen took top honors with Cameron Lindell 2nd and Toby Nicholas 3rd and Chris Cremer took first place in the first flight.

Kamrin Allen was a freshmen when the broncs took the state title in 2008 this fall he begins his junior season and says he feels he's playing well as the season gets ready to start. Allen says the Broncs goal is to win that state title back in September and says the Broncs have played a lot of golf in preparation for the season.

BIG HORN AND TONGUE RIVER GOLF - The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers also begin their fall season Thursday at a tournament in Kemmerer.

KENDRICK CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF - Taking a look at the rest of the top finishers from the Kendrick golf course club championship. Erick Assmussen won the 2nd flight, Leonard Skretteberg took the 3rd flight and John Pilch took the 4th flight.

In the women's division Cheryl Wieland was the club champion winning the championship flight. Candace Killworth took 1st place in the first flight and Debby Husske was with winner in the women's net division.

HIGH SCHOOL FALL SPORTS - The fall sports season begins for the rest of our Sheridan county teams Friday August 27th . The Sheridan Lady Bronc and Big Horn Lady Rams volleyball teams open the season at an invitational tournament in Riverton.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles will play at a tournament in Lovell.

The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will open with meets in Casper and Gillette.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners will be in Cody on the 27th and the Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams open on Thursday the 26th with matches in Jackson.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The football season begins with the Sheridan Broncs at Casper Kelly Walsh on the 27th that will open our season long coverage of the Broncs live on AM 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM plus all games can heard live on-line at sheridanmedia.com.

The Tongue River Eagles will open the football season on the road in Hulett on September 3rd and the Big Horn Rams will open at Greybull also on September 3rd.

NFL - The Denver Broncos play their next preseason game Saturday night at home against the Detroit Lions we will broadcast the action for you live on AM 14-10 KWYO the broadcast will begin at 6:00.

UW FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open the 2010 season at home against Southern Utah Saturday September 4th.it's a night game with kickoff set for 7:00.You can hear all Cowboy football games live on AM 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

SRD MENS SOFTBALL - The Sheridan recreation district summer softball league season ended last night at the softball complex at Sheridan college. The city men's championship game was played last night and the champions for 2010 is Tongue River Stone.

TR Stone runs in the top of the first inning and cruised to a 23-3 win. For the season Tongue River Stone lost only one game going 17-1 for the summer.
