HERE'S THE LOCAL SPORTS WEEKEND WRAP-UP

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs had a good weekend sweeping games from Buffalo and Riverton.

The Lady Broncs blew out Buffalo 64-38 Friday and Riverton Saturday 79-23 Head coach Derek Bissitt. After a sluggish start against Riverton Saturday they really got after the Wolverines in the second half.

Now it's onto play at the Flaming Gorge Classic in Green River and time for the Lady Broncs to get better on the road.

The Broncs beat Buffalo 45-43 Friday and Riverton 58-44 Saturday Broncs coach Mike Ibach says it was nice to get the weekend sweep.

Now they head to Green River with a 3-1 record and a chance to play three good opponents.

Another good thing to come out of this past weekend is the team chemistry is starting to come together.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams continue to roll both are 6-0 after winning three games at tournaments.

The Lady Rams beat Casper Kelly Walsh, Glenrock and Greybull while the Rams beat Southeast, Kaycee and Glenrock.

TR BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles swept weekend games from Rocky Mountain and Riverside.

FOOTHILLS CLASSIC HOOPS - This week Tongue River and Big Horn are teaming up to host the Foothills Classic tournament.

12 teams plus JV's will be competing they will use both Tongue River and Big Horn high school gyms for the event which will run Friday and Saturday.

BISON AND LADY BISON - With a look at Buffalo sports Sheridan media's Aaron Palmer has the Bison and Lady Bison weekend wrap-up.

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball Generals lost their first game of the season Saturday after beating Casper college Friday night.

Gillette gave the Generals their first loss of the season by winning at the dome Saturday 89-87 the Generals end the first half of the season 11-1.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 20th at the Rapid City invitational with two broncs placing Clay Carter finished 5th at 130 pounds and Trevor Goss was 4th at 140.

The Broncs first home dual is tomorrow night when they host Billings Senior varsity matches will begin at 6:00.
