GENERALS OPEN THE 2011-12 HOOP SEASON WITH A BIG HOME VICTORY

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals opened the 2011-12 basketball regular season last night with an 84-63 win over Williston, North Dakota Head coach Steve Smiley.

They held the Tetons under 70 points Smiley says for the most part the defensive intensity was there all night.

And Smiley says the Sophomores did a good job of leading and their Freshmen group had their moments as well.

The Generals will play at a tournament in Gillette Friday and Saturday.

LADY GENERALS VOLLEYBALL - Sheridan college will be the host for the region nine north volleyball tournament. play opens this afternoon with matches at 2:00,4:00,6:00 and 8:00.

The Lady Generals will play the late game tonight against Central Wyoming.

Lady Generals Head coach Jennifer Weitzel says they need to use playing at the dome to their advantage this week.

They open at 8:00 against CWC as Weitzel talks about opening with the Rustlers.

Several teams have a chance to win this week, Weitzel talks about the keys to winning tournament volleyball.

Here's today's first round schedule Western Wyoming plays Dawson at 2:00, Laramie county plays Northwest Wyoming at 4:00 then Casper against Eastern Wyoming at 6:00 followed by the Lady Generals.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs host Gillette in one of the 4-A football semi final games Friday night at Homer Scott stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 we will broadcast it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The other 4-A semi final will have Cheyenne East playing at Natrona county.

UW FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys get back into action at home Saturday with game against TCU broadcast time is at 11:00 Saturday morning with the pregame show kickoff is at noon.

NFL - The Denver Broncos play at Oakland Sunday afternoon we will have that game live for you on KWYO starting at noon with the bronco pregame show kickoff is at 2:00.
