 WOODWARD GETS SECOND MWC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD /  CONTINUES TO IMPRESS AT UW

KAYLA WOODWARD - Sheridan's Kayla Woodward was named the MWC player of the week for her play last week and won the award for the second time this season.

She has made quite a splash in her freshmen season with the Cowgirls and Head coach Joe Legerski says Woodward has really made the move up into Division One basketball.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals are both coming off victories over Northwest college Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy.

The Lady Generals find themselves in a tie fr the conference lead with seven games to play and McCarthy says the players have done a nice job of getting themselves in a good position to make a run at hosting the Womens region nine tournament.

The Generals avenged a December loss to Northwest by beating the Trappers Saturday Head coach Steve Smiley.

And Smiley says with only one game this week on Saturday it gives them a few days to rest up and get ready to play at Central Wyoming in Riverton.

SHS HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball play Laramie and at Cheyenne South this week. The Lady Broncs host the Broncs will be on the road.

BH HOOPS - The Big Horn basketball teams host games with Tongue River Friday and play at Greybull Saturday.

TR HOOP- The Tongue River teams play at Big Horn then host games with Wright Saturday.

WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers will close out the regular season hosting Gillette in a dual Thursday night it will be for the for the conference regular season championship, varsity matches are scheduled to start at 7:00.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers will be in Riverton Friday and Saturday for their conference meet then an off week to get ready for the state championships in three weeks.
