BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs play at Natrona County tonight. As far as standings are concerned, the game means nothing to the Broncs. Sheridan is the #1 seed heading into the play-offs. The game does mean everything to NC as they need a win, and hope for some help from other teams to get into the post-season tournament.

The Broncs want to finish strong and keep their winning streak going. They've won seven in a row and have the best record in Class 4-A. The Mustangs are 2-6, with four games lost by less than a touchdown. Broncs head coach Don Julian says Natrona is a good team as they face another tough challenge tonight.

The Broncs are coming off a fantastic come-from-behind win last week against Cheyenne Central and need to keep the offensive momentum going. We will begin our broadcast tonight with the First Federal Pre-game Show at 6:30; the kick takes off at 7 o'clock.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams play at Newcastle; the Rams will be in the play-offs next Friday. We asked head coach Bert Dow, knowing they are already in the play-offs, how they want to play this game against winless Newcastle.

They will play a road quarter-final game at Greybull next week, and Dow says they like the draw.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles play their season finale in Dayton this afternoon against Thermopolis. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter will broadcast the game today and has
this preview.

UW/BRONCOS - The University of Wyoming Cowboys and Denver Broncos have this week off. The Pokes play their next game at Utah Halloween night, and the Broncos have a road game at Baltimore November 1st.

CROSS-COUNTRY - The State High School Cross-Country Championships will be held in Sheridan tomorrow featuring six races from 2-A, 3-A and 4-A Boys and Birls divisions. The Broncs and Lady Broncs are expected to contend with the top teams for a State Title. Head coach Art Baures says the runners are in great physical shape, and know it's all about the mental side of the race.

Racing begins tomorrow at 10:30. The first race is the Boys 2-A Championship. The Broncs will run in the Boys 4-A Final at 11:40, with the Lady Broncs running in the 4-A Final at 12:50.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL - Regional volleyball tournaments get underway today. The Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers are at the 1-A East Regional in Wheatland. They play Rock River in their first match.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles and Big Horn Lady Rams play at the 2-A East Regional in Gillette. The Lady Eagles play Pine Bluffs at 10 o'clock; the Lady Rams play Burns at 2:30.

The Sheridan Lady Broncs play in the 4-A East Regional in Laramie. They open with Cheyenne Central at 11 o'clock.

MLB - The L.A. Angels stayed alive last night with a 7-6 win over the New York Yankees. The “Bombers” were down 4-0, but scored 6 runs in the 7th inning. The Angels answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning and held on for the victory. New York still still leads the series 3-2 with Game 6 tomorrow night in the Bronx starting at 5:57. If needed, Game 7 will be Sunday night at 6:20.

Philadelphia meets the winner in the World Series, which is set to start Wednesday.
