SC HOOP CAMPS BEGIN / TROOPERS AT THRONE-RIDER STADIUM TONIGHT

SC BASKETBALL CAMPS - Basketball camps began yesterday at Sheridan college Men's basketball coach Steve Smiley and players put the campers through their paces the camp concludes Thursday.

The Lady Generals basketball camp for girls K-8th grade will begin Monday the schedule will be each day from 9:00 to noon.

McCarthy says the focus on their camp is to instill a love of the game for young kids. And he says they make sure that each camper has a lot of fun as they learn more about the game.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CHAMPS

The Sheridan Lady Spartans won the annual Battle on the Blacktop basketball 9th and 10th grade division championship game this past weekend in Buffalo.

This team that has been playing together since 4th grade!!!!! Fun watching the girls.

They play together one weekend a year and it’s like they have played all year together.

Girls will be in the 10th grade this fall, all are Sheridan High School girls, except for the lone Big Horn girl, Bailey Bard.

WYOMING ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Wyoming high school all-star basketball teams dropped both both games in Sheridan Friday night the girls lost 70-69. The boys game went into overtime with Montana holding on for a 93-87 victory.

Saturday the Wyoming girls turned up the defensive heat and dominated Montana winning 65-49. They took a 12-1 lead at the start and never let Montana in the game after that, Sheridan's Hailey Ligocki says they were very motivated after losing by one point on Friday.

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL-STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming high school All-star basketball teams lost both games in Sheridan Friday night the Montana girls held off the Wyoming girls 70-69. The boys game went into overtime with Montana taking a six point lead and held on for a 93-87 victory.

The series now shifts to Billings for games tonight. The girls game will tip at 6:00 the boys go at 8:00 both games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO. broadcast time tonight is scheduled for 5:30

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL-STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming high school all-star basketball teams host the Montana all-stars tonight in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.

Lady Bronc players Hailey Ligocki and Mali Wright will compete for the Wyoming girls this weekend.

Ligocki played for the Wyoming team in last week's series with South Dakota and says she's having a great time.

Hailey will be playing for the Wyoming Cowgirls this fall and says she will be working on basketball mostly this summer but says she has some other home duties as

ALL-STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming high school all-star basketball teams will play public scrimmages will be held tonight at the Hoffman dome at 5:00 and 6:30.

The All-star games over the years especially in the boys games and seen each team winning on the other team's home court, longtime All-star coach Bruce Hoffman chalked it up to nerves and current boys head coach Steve Smiley says that is an interesting thing they have to deal with.

TROOPERS PICK UP BIG ROAD VICTORY / ALL-STAR HOOPS / BRONC FOOTBALL

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers got a brilliant pitching performance from Drew Adriaens Tuesday night and beat the Gillette Roughriders 5-3 in a big conference game in Gillette.

Adriaens went seven innings Skyler Holwell pitched the final two innings as they combined to throw a one hitter.

Trailing 3-0 going into the 9th inning the Troops scored five runs to pick up their second conference win of the season.

They are now 8-7 overall and 2-0 in conference play, next up they play a return game with Gillette Tuesday night at 6:00 you can hear the game live on 14-10 KWYO.

ALL-STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming high school all-star basketball teams arrive in Sheridan tomorrow to begin preparation for their games with Montana Friday.

Lady Bronc teammates Hailey Ligocki and Mali Wright will play this weekend.

Games Friday night at the Hoffman dome will tip at 6:00 and 8:00 and Saturday they shift the series to Billings all four games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.
