SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOSTS YOUTH HOOP CAMPS SATURDAY

SC YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMPS - The Sheridan college basketball coaches and players host their one day holiday basketball camps Saturday.

Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy says they are getting some good rest during the break and they had a great first half of the season. And he says the girls youth camp will open at 2:00 Saturday in the Hoffman dome.

The boys camp will be the first session Saturday starting at 10:00 and running until noon Generals Head coach Steve Smiley.

Manning's 3 TDs lead Broncos to 34-12 win

DENVER (AP) - Denver won its 10th straight game Sunday as Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes for the 72nd time of his career in a 34-12 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Denver (12-3) pulled into a tie for first place in the AFC with Houston, which fell 23-6 to the Vikings.

Manning finished with 339 yards on 30-for-43 passing. Von Miller was in on two sacks for the Broncos, the second of which knocked Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden out of the game with a right shoulder injury.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams start 2013 at home against Wright January 4th.

TR BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles also restart their season on January 4th with home games against Moorcroft.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams will host their holiday youth basketball camps Saturday.

Sports Week Wrap Up.

Here is a look at some of the local sports action leading up to the Christmas Break.

In swimming the Buffalo High School Bison Boys came out on top at the Newcastle Invitational with wins in seven different events for a total of 325 points. Buffalo swimmer Nate Holt stood out with wins in three races while fellow team member Matt Scarlett won two of his own. Both of these athletes went on to be a part winning relay teams as well.
The Sheridan High School Broncs put in a great effort at the Riverton Invitational, but came up a little bit short placing 13th.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - The more the Denver Broncos win, the better the chance they lose - coordinators, that is.

Defensive boss Jack Del Rio and his offensive counterpart, Mike McCoy, figure to be hot commodities for any head coaching vacancies when the season finally winds down. That's simply the price of success.

Coach John Fox says: "You like to see people get opportunities and have those options. I'm sure it will be no different this year."

The Broncos (11-3) have won nine straight heading into a game against Cleveland (5-9) on Sunday.

WASHINGTON AND POKES RIDE 2ND-HALF SURGE TO DOWN GAUCHOS, 56-40

Laramie, Wyo. (Dec. 21, 2012) – The University of Wyoming men’s basketball team matched its best start in team history by winning its 12th-consecutive game with a 56-40 victory over the UC Santa Barbara on Friday in the Double AA.

Senior forward Leonard Washington led all scorers with 17 points while pulling down 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. Fellow senior Luke Martinez chipped in 14 points and four steals for the Pokes.

The Cowboys rode a 32-17 second half to down the Gauchos, tying a season-low 40 points allowed, which also came against UCSB on Nov. 28.
