4-A State swimming begins today / Regional Volleyball and Football playoffs start tomorrow

LADY BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers open the 4-A state championships today in Gillette.

Head coach Brent Moore says the Lady Broncs are coming off a very good regular season and conference meet.

And he says the team is ready to go and ready to swim fast.

And he says the Lady Broncs could make a run at the top three this week Prelims start this afternoon the finals will be tomorrow.

Kayla Woodward set to begin final season with the Cowgirls / State swimming, regional volleyball and playoff football and ready to go

WYOMING COWGIRL BASKETBALL - Former Sheridan Lady Bronc Kayla Woodward is about to start her senior season as the leader of the Wyoming Cowgirls basketball team.

The season opens November 17th at home against Western state, Woodward admits her time with the Cowgirls has gone very fast.

During the preseason she says her teammates are working hard to make this a great season.

STATE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Tongue River Eagles are the 4th seed and play at #1 seed Cokeville Friday kickoff is at 1:00.

The Big Horn Rams host Lovell Friday night at 6:00 in the first round. The game can be heard live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Sheridan Broncs will host Cheyenne Central Friday night in the first round of the playoffs the game is scheduled to start at 6:00. We will be on the air at 5:30 with the First Federal pregame show on 14-10 KWYO.

Two Sheridan county runners make all-state in X-Country / High school football playoffs open Friday / Pokes fall at CSU / SC Hoops open Friday

STATE CROSS COUNTRY - The all class state cross country championships event was a huge success Saturday. The Broncs were 7th the Lady Broncs 10th.

The Tongue River Eagles finished 7th in 2-a and Tongue River Lady Eagles runner Courtney Jolovish made 2-A all state with an 8th place finish.

Sheridan high school Head coach Art Bauers says the day was perfect to run and the course was very fast.

And he says the Broncs had a good day with the 7th place finish.

Broncs, Rams and Eagles all post victories / Pokes at CSU tonight/ Lady Bronc volleyball wins at Gillette

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - The Sheridan Broncs whipped Cheyenne South 52-13 to end the regular season at 7-2.

The Tongue River Eagles blew out Pine Bluffs 53-22 they are headed to the playoffs.

The Big Horn Rams held off Wheatland 19-6 and head into the playoffs as the number one seed in the East.

The first round of the high school football playoffs starts next Friday

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys play at Colorado state tonight the game will be broadcast live on KWYO, Cowboy pregame starts at 4:00 with kickoff at 5:00.

The Tongue River Eagles football team hosted Pine Bluffs Friday in Dayton. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the recap.
