NHSFR - The 2009 National High School Finals Rodeo continues in Farmington, New Mexico. Luke Camino from Clearmont, Megan Belus from Buffalo, Nikki Bauman from Sheridan, Jake Gill from Wyola and Taylor Kelly from Sheridan are all competing. The 1st Go continues today with two performances, and will conclude with one tomorrow before moving on to the 2nd Go.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped both ends of a double header against Rapid City Post #320 Saturday it was their final home games of the regular season. #320 took the first game 20-6 and the second game 14-3 now it's onto post season play Wednesday in Casper at the north district tournament.

NASCAR - Jeremy Mayfield told a television station in Charlotte, N.C., late Friday that an independent test shows no trace of methamphetamines.Mayfield, who was suspended indefinitely on May 9 for failing a NASCAR drug test, has denied ever using the illegal drug. Earlier this month a federal judge granted Mayfield a temporary injunction lifting the suspension, a decision NASCAR is appealing.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL - Sheridan College Generals basketball coach Steve Smiley has announced his final recruit for the 2009 season: Smiley got confirmation this week that Kendrick Morse, a 5'7 point guard from Richton Park, Illinois, has committed to playing for the Generals this fall. Smiley says they are getting another good addition to the team.
