TR / BH VOLLEYBALL - The local sports week begins tonight in Dayton with the Tongue River Lady Eagles hosting the Big Horn Lady Rams in a big volleyball rival match-up; the varsity game is scheduled to get under way at 7:30. Big Horn will host their own tournament this weekend when Tongue River is scheduled to compete with the Lady Rams.

SHS SWIMMING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers didn't win their dual in Laramie this past Friday, but they did get some good results. The highlight of the meet was getting three more State Meet qualifiers. Tomorrow they have a dual in Gillette, and once again this fall Gillette's team is very strong.

HS FOOTBALL - The Sheridan county football teams went 1-3 this past week, the week started with Big Horn losing to Greybull 7-6 Thursday night the Rams were stopped twice on first and goal opportunities in the 1st half the rams Play at Burns Friday.

The Tongue River Eagles dropped an 18-8 decision against Hulett Friday the Eagles play at Glenrock Friday night.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs blew out Cheyenne East Friday night to even their record at 1-1 they went out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and pulled away to lead 49-7 at halftime in the second half coach Don Julian called off the dogs the Broncs would score one more time and win the game 56-21.
next week they play at home against number one ranked Green River.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams took on Greybull last night. The game was a tough defensive battle; all the scoring took place in the 4th Quarter with Greybull coming out on top 7-6. The margin of victory was a blocked extra point. Greybull capped off a 99-yard drive with a touchdown with 10:25 to play to take a 7-0 lead.

BIG HORN RAMS - The Big Horn Rams made it to the 2-A Title game in 2008, as they look to return to that form this fall. Tonight, the Rams open the regular season against Greybull; the game will be played at Homer Scott Stadium. The Rams beat the Buffaloes twice last season, including a win in the first round on the play-offs.

SHS TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams played Natrona County yesterday. The Lady Broncs won 4-1, while the Broncs dropped their matches 3-2. Lady Bronc winners included #1 Singles player Emily Holst and Doubles teams Noelle Golinvaux and Rachel Wood, Kennedy Hill and Emily Berry along with Taylor Street and Haley King.

SHS WRESTLING / SOCCER - Former Sheridan wrestling coach Corey Hamrick resigned his position this past spring. Last week, the Sheridan County District 2 school board approved the hiring of Terry Burgess to take over the Bronc program. Burgess isn't new to coaching in School District 2; he coached the Bronc wrestlers from 1984-90.
