2015 Wyoming Football Schedule Released

LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 2, 2015) – Home games in three of the season’s first four weeks highlight the University of Wyoming’s 2015 football campaign, as the Mountain West office announced the conference’s schedule on Monday. Game times and television coverage will be announced at a later date.

The Cowboys kick off the season on Sept. 5 against North Dakota in War Memorial Stadium and host Eastern Michigan the following weekend on Sept. 12.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams and both the Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles have qualified for the 2-A state basketball tournament.

Play begins Thursday in Casper 2-A bracket first round games will be played at Casper college.

The Lady Eagles beat the Lady Rams in the 3rd place game Saturday 42-41 was the final. The Tongue River Eagles beat Burns in the 3rd place game 45-41.

Hawks go 1-2 at Wyoming state hockey championships

SHERIDAN, WY—The Sheridan Hawks High School team played their last games of the season at the State Tournament in Rock Springs last weekend.

The team ended the season in sixth place in the tournament with one win and two losses. The team lost a heart-breaker in the first game losing in overtime 6 to 5 to Pinedale.

They then defeated Gillette 13 to 1 and then lost to Casper 5 to 3 on Saturday evening. The Hawks ended the season with a 12-5-2 record. Senior Jess Edens earned All-State Honors as a defenseman.

Broncs & Lady Broncs vs. Gillette Camels

The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams finished up the regular season tonight at home with Gillette, Gillette coming out on top in both games.

2-A East Regional Hoops / State Wrestling opens today / SHS v Gillette tonight / Pokes and Cowgirls take on UNLV Saturday

2-A EAST REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams are playing in the 2-A East regional tournament in Big Horn.

In the first round Thursday the Big Horn Lady Rams lost their opening game against Burns 56-40, today they play an elimination game with Lusk at 9:00.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles beat Lusk 48-34 to advance to the semi finals, they play Burns at 4:00.

The Big Horn Rams beat Burns 59-50 to advance to play Lusk in the semi finals at 5:30.

The Tongue River Eagles lost against Southeast 50-41, they play Moorcroft in an elimination game at 1:30.

SC Basketball ready for post season play

Sheridan College basketball teams set for Region IX tournaments

The Sheridan College men’s basketball team will face Central Wyoming College in Riverton on Friday in the opening round of the NJCAA Region IX tournament.

The game will tip at 7 p.m. and the winner will advance to Northwest College in Powell for remaining tournament action.

Head coach Matt Hammer’s Generals are 17-13 this season.

In the women’s Region IX tournament, head coach Frank McCarthy’s squad will head to Scottsbluff, Neb., on Wednesday to face McCook (Neb.). The game will tip at 3 p.m.
