2016 Sheridan High School Homecoming / Pokes v AFA Saturday / Denver v Atlanta Sunday

2016 SHS HOMECOMING - It's Homecoming week at Sheridan high school high school Activities Director Don Julian says that as the football coach he wants his players and all the other fall sports athletes to enjoy activities this week but also be focused on their competitions this week as well.

They will culminate the week with a public pep rally downtown on Grinnell Plaza Thursday night.

McCarthy to Step Down as Lady Generals Head Hoops Coach / Eagles, Wolves, Cowboys and Broncos Pick up Football Victories / Broncs and Rams Look to Rebound From Losses

LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams started their preseason practice over the weekend. Lady Generals Head coach Frank McCarthy will begin his 16th and final season as Head coach of the Lady Generals.

McCarthy has announced his retirement from coaching following this season.

Broncs Fall to Gillette/ Tongue River Handles Lusk/ Big Horn Loses to Glenrock

The #1 ranked 4A Broncs fell to #2 Gillette in a close game 24-21. After scoring a TD to shorten Gillette's lead to 3 points, the Broncs Defense could not stop Gillette's Offense before time ran out.

Next Friday is Homecoming for the Broncs and they will look to bounce back against Cheyenne Central.

Tongue River Eagles Football
The #3 ranked 1A Eagles shutout Lusk 40-0 Friday night. The team moves to 4-1 on the season with a win on their Homecoming night and look to take care of Wright next week.

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team lost their conference match to Gillette last night the Camels took the match in three straight games.

They play tomorrow in Billings at the Border War event joining Gillette and Natrona county playing the three big schools from Billings.

STATE TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams opened the Wyoming state tennis championships yesterday in Gillette the Lady Broncs are in 7th place after day one the Broncs are also in 7th place.

SHS TO HONOR 1986 STATE CHAMPS - It's Gillette week at Sheridan high school tonight the Lady Bronc volleyball team will host the Camels the varsity match is scheduled to start at 6:30, tomorrow the Broncs host the Camels in football high school Activities Director Don Julian says they will be honoring the 1986 Lady Bronc state championship volleyball team at tonight's game and the 86' Bronc state championship football team tomorrow night.

BRONC / LADY BRONC X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners are coming off top three finishes at the Casper invitational in wet weather conditions last weekend , Head coach Art Bauers says it was the first time they had to fight through tough conditions and it came at a good time.

With a couple weeks left in the regular season he says all the runners are in very good physical shape and now it's all about getting mentally tough as they look ahead to their conference and state championships.

Wyoming State High School Tennis Opens Thursday / SC Volleyball Home Tonight / Lady Bronc Volleyball v Gillette Thursday Night

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will play at the Wyoming state tennis championships this week play gets underway Thursday in Gillette.

The conference tournament was washed out in Cody due to rain last weekend, Head coach Bob Faurot says they got a few matches in and missing the rest of the tournament was a disappointment.

They have today and tomorrow for their final prep for the state tournament as he talks about expectations for both teams this week

SC Generals Rodeo results

It was a miserable day outside for a college rodeo this past weekend but inside the Sheridan College AgriPark indoor arena the weather was beautiful.

The AgriPark arena was a sanctuary for rained out cowboys and cowgirls who were very thankful to Sheridan College and this community for having a dry place to compete.
