FOOTBALL - Broncs look to rebound, Rams continue to roll, Eagles back and track

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs are look to get back on track tomorrow following their first loss of the season.

Head coach Don Julian says it's been a tough week but they have moved on and are now looking for another great performance against Cheyenne Central.

They have three games left of the regular season and all their team goals are still intact and ready to achieve.

Broncs, Rams and Eagles all play at home Friday

SHS HOMECOMING - It's Homecoming week at Sheridan high school, Bronc football coach and high school Activities Director Don Julian says homecoming week is an important week for high school students.

The Broncs are in bounce back mode this week after that gut wrenching loss last week and Julian says they are just trying to gather themselves this week as they get ready to play Cheyenne Central.

X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners are taking this week off in preparation for their two post season races.

Next week they will run at their conference meet in Cheyenne and on the 25th Sheridan will host the state championships, Sheridan Head coach Art Bauers says now it's all about preparation for those two events.

And he says when all the runners come to Sheridan they will all be in top shape but the mental toughness of each team in the determining factor in how they will do.

Men’s Team has 8 Qualify for Short Go
Sheridan College Rodeo Team traveled to their farthest college rodeo in Lamar Colorado.

Both the men’s and women’s team earned some points this past weekend.

Tioni Erickson who has been earning points every weekend, continued to do just that again as she claimed the goat tying championship. Erickson put together a run of 8.2 seconds which put her second place in the long go. She came to the championship round on Sunday to tie and ended up second with an 8.4 second run.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The 2014 Energy Bowl turned into a shootout between the Broncs and Gillette, there were four lead changes in the 4th quarter and Gillette made a great two minute drive and came from behind late to nip the Broncs 42-37. After the heart breaker Head coach Don Julian.

He says they got the lead late and played the last few minutes well but Gillette made a great final drive.

The Broncs fall to 5-1 overall and will host Cheyenne Central Friday night at 6:00.

Bison Football Picks Up First Win Of Season

The Buffalo Bison football team hosted the Lander Valley Tigers this past Friday night at Mike Moon Filed, and they finally picked up their first win of the 2014 campaign.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The 2014 Energy Bowl turned into a shootout between the Broncs and Gillette, there were four lead changes in the 4th quarter and Gillette made a great two minute drive and came from behind late to nip the Broncs 42-37.

The winning touchdown came with :24 seconds to play, the Broncs fall to 5-1 overall and will host Cheyenne Central next week.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams shut out Thermopolis 40-0 Friday night to go to 5-0 the Rams host Burns next week.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles play at the Kelly Walsh JV's in Casper this afternoon at 1:00.

The Big Horn Rams football team played their first game under the lights Friday night at Big Horn High School. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the recap.
