Sheridan College went to Gillette this weekend for their first rodeo of the spring season.

Sheridan had a good weekend freshman Shane Stevens from Hawk Springs, WY has had great success in Gillette this year. Earlier this winter Shane was 80 points in the bareback riding at the PRCA rodeo in gillette and placed second.

This weekend he was 82 points on a rank Burch Rodeo bareback horse to win the long go and 74 in the short go to win the short round.

Bison Soccer: Boys Lose, Girls Win

The Bison boys' soccer team Kicked off their 2011 season at the North Casper Soccer Complex on Friday, taking on Jackson.
The defending State Champion Bison suffered their first setback, losing 1-0 to the Broncs.
The next game for the Bison will be Tuesday when they travel to Gillette to take on the Camels.
The Bison girls began their season at home on Saturday, hosting the Kelly Walsh Lady Trojans. The game went to overtime before Buffalo finally beat Kelly Walsh 2-1.
The Lady Bison will host Gillette on Tuesday at Buffalo High School.

SHERIDAN COUNTY SPRING SPORTS SEASON IS UNDERWAY

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team opened their season Friday with a 1-0 road win at Riverton. The Lady Broncs travel to play Rock Springs tomorrow the match will be played in Casper.

BRONC SOCCER - The Broncs opened the season with a 3-0 win against Worland Saturday at a jamboree that was a regulation game they also played two games of 20 minute halves and lost 1-0 against Riverton and ended the event with a 1-0 victory over Evanston.

5th Grade Rampage win tournament

The Sheridan Rampage won the 5th grade boys division of the Casper Youth Basketball Tournament on Sunday, March 20th.

Their division had 16 teams, and they defeated the Rapid City Nuggets in the championship game, 29-27.

LADY BRONC SOCCER PICKS UP A VICTORY / BRONCS GO 2-1

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The high school track season for the Broncs and Lady Broncs is scheduled to open today at the Natrona county early bird invitational.

Sheridan high school will host "The Dan Hansen" Sheridan invitational next month the event will take place Easter week and will be held that week on Thursday because of the holiday.

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team opened their season yesterday with a 1-0 road win at Riverton.

The Lady Broncs are now off until a road trip to play Rock Springs Tuesday the match will be played in Casper.

Bison Boys Soccer Begins Title Defense

The Buffalo Bison soccer team will begin defending their 2010 State Title this weekend as they take on Jackson Friday at the Kelly Walsh Soccer Complex.
The Bison graduated 10 seniors from last year's squad, and this year's team will have a lot of big shoes to fill, said Coach Dick Edgcomb.

2011 HIGH SCHOOL SPRING SPORTS SEASON IS UNDERWAY

HIGH SCHOOL SPRING SPORTS - This week Sheridan media sports sat down with Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian who serves as the state soccer tournament director.

The 2011 state championships will be held in Sheridan county once again.

The Big Horn Equestrian center is the perfect place to host the event.

Also this spring Sheridan high school will host the big regional track meet the week before the state soccer tournament.
