GET READY FOR FREEDOM-FEST 2011

FREEDOM-FEST 2011 - The first annual Freedom Fest hosted by the Sheridan Recreation District will be held Monday on the 4th of July at the old Woodland Park school.

Along with Sheridan Media sponsors include Pepsi and Kilpatrick Creations, Rec District Sports Specialist Dale Boedecker talks about how Freedom-Fest came to be.

And dale says the hopes are to make this a yearly
activity.

TROOPERS WIN, BACK OUT ON THE ROAD TODAY

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers continue a torrid schedule as they came home from a two week road trip and played four games already this week, they'll play two on the road today before going to South Dakota tomorrow and then a road trip to Douglas Sunday.

The Troops got two home runs from Issac Carrel in last night's 16-10 win over Cody.

After struggling for a few games last week Head coach Ben Phillips says they finally got the bats going.

FREEDOM-FEST 2011

2011 "FREEDOMFEST" - The Sheridan Rec District along with Sheridan Media, Kilpatrick Creations and Pepsi will host "Freedom-Fest" on the 4th of July.

It's an event for the whole family and will take place behind the old Woodland park school from 10 am to 2 pm on the 4th.

Sheridan Rec District Adult Sports Specialist Dale Boedecker talks about their newest event "Freedomfest".

Food and refreshments will be provided, they will be having lots of kids and family games and it's all free.

TROOPERS SPLIT TWO WITH CASPER

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers and Capser Oilers played two , one run games Monday night splitting a double header at Thorne-Rider stadium.

The Troopers took the first game 5-4 coming from behind in the last two innings to steal a victory and end a seven game losing streak.

The Troops fell behind 1-0 and were hitless through four inning before breaking through to tie the game in the 5th inning and score four more in the 6th to take a 5-1 lead in the final inning.
