Fenner Leads Bison Over Riverton 38-13

Buffalo's Aaron Fenner had touchdown runs of 65, 49 and 68 yards and added a touchdown reception to lead the Bison to a 38-13 win over the Riverton Wolverines Friday night in Buffalo.
The Bison had a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, and early in the second, Fenner peeled off the first of his three scores, a 65-yard run to give Buffalo a 10-0 lead.
A fumbled snap later in the quarter set the Wolverines up with good field position deep in Bison territory and they took advantage, scoring on a pass play to pull Riverton to within three at 10-7.
Fenner then took his second score in from 49 yards out to give Buffalo a 17-7 lead.
Right before the half, Collin Rodriguez intercepted a Riverton pass and set up another Bison score, this time a pass from quarterback Dillan Marton to give Buffalo a 24-7 halftime advantage.
In the third quarter, Fenner added another score, this time a 68-yard scamper into the endzone to give Buffalo a 31-7 lead over the Wolverines.
Riverton added a score late in the third but the PAT was blocked by Kalob Rodriguez and the Bison lead stood at 31-13.
On the ensuing kickoff, Wyatt Witty took the kick at his own 9-yard line and ran it back for a 91-yard touchdown to give Buffalo a 38-13 lead.
The fourth quarter was scoreless and the Bison won 38-13.
Quarterback Dillan Marton, filling in for injured Collin Rodriguez, was effective in running the offense, completing 3 of 5 passes, including the touchdown to Fenner, and rushed 10 times for 46 yards.
The leading rusher was Fenner with 231 yards on 13 carries.
Leading the Bison defensively was Kalob Rodriguez with 23 defensive points and Jarod Chesbro with 17.5 points.
Buffalo now stands at 3-2 on the season.
Next up for the Bison is a matchup with the Tigers in Lander Friday night.
