LADY BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc Swimmers and Divers open their season next week with the Casper relays and Gillette pentathlon.

This year they've added another coach to help out with the girls this fall as long time Wyoming high school coach Larry Stiger will join Larry White and Rick Oatts with the Lady Broncs this fall. Stiger helped make the Gillette girls program a powerhouse a decade ago.

They've been in the pool for three days and White says the numbers are up and the girls are working hard. And they have a lot to get in before the first meet a week from tomorrow.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers open the season tomorrow at a two day tournament in Riverton. The Broncs are expected to contend for their second state title in the last three years in September Head coach Larry Mortoglio says the Broncs have put in the extra playing time over the summer to make a run at another championship.

And he says the young Bronc team of two years ago has matured and are ready to start the season and they expect a great challenge in the weeks ahead.

BIG HORN AND TONGUE RIVER GOLF - The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers begin their fall season today as well at a two day tournament in Kemmerer.

SHS TENNIS AND CROSS COUNTRY - The Sheridan high school tennis season opens a week from today in Jackson and the Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners will be on the road next Friday for an invitational in Cody.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL - Next Friday the Sheridan and Big Horn volleyball teams open the season at the Riverton invitational tournament while the Tongue River Lady Eagles will open at a tournament in Lovell.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The high school football season begins with the Sheridan Broncs at Casper Kelly Walsh next Friday.

The Tongue River Eagles will open on the road in Hulett on September 3rd and the Big Horn Rams will open at Greybull also on September 3rd. Once again the Rams will play all of their home games this season at Sheridan high school.

The NSI Wolves open the football season September 3rd at Rocky Mountain.

ATTENTION SHERIDAN COUNTY YOUTH COACHES - The Sheridan Recreation district and Sheridan high school have teamed up to present a program for all Sheridan county coaches and especially youth coaches.

They are bringing in a guest speaker Monday evening for a program in the Sheridan high school auditorium, Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.

Julian says this program will be good for anyone that coaches youth sports.

Again the program is free and all youth coaches are invited Monday night at 7:00 in the Sheridan high school auditorium
