LEGENDARY VOICE OF THE WYOMING COWBOYS TO CONTINUE TO CALL FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL

LARAMIE, Wyo. (June 6, 2014) – The familiar radio voice of Dave Walsh that Wyoming fans have grown accustomed to hearing for more than three decades will become only more familiar as the “Voice of the Cowboys” will stay in his current role through 2019, as announced today by Learfield Sports’ University of Wyoming Sports Properties (UWSP).

The contract extension for Walsh is inclusive of radio play by play for Cowboys’ football and basketball, as well as both coaches’ shows and the Wyoming Sports Today daily show.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action tonight at Thorne-Rider stadium. They host a double header with Powell the first game will start at 5:00 and we will have game one live for you on 14-10 KWYO.

ADULT SOFTBALL - Sheridan Rec district adult softball league play is underway the season will wrap up in mid August.

The first week of play came to a close last night, Rec district league coordinator Robbie Spencer comments on the end of week one.

SC ATHLETICS - Sheridan college will be a busy place for a week starting Saturday with the booster club flea market.

Generals basketball coach Steve Smiley and his players will host their youth basketball camp next week.

The annual flea market Saturday at the Hoffman dome from 8-2 and you can get involved selling your own stuff.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs leave today for their first football camp of the off season at Chadron state college in Nebraska, the camp runs through the weekend Head coach Don Julian and his coaching staff will have 80 players at the camp.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action Friday when they host two with Powell that double header will start at 5:00 and we will have game one live for you on 14-10 KWYO.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs and Big Horn Rams will be competing in football camps at Chadron state college in Nebraska.

The Broncs will be in Chadron tomorrow while the Rams will be at the session that begins next week on Wednesday

Bronc Head coach Don Julian says this will be the coaches chance to see each player in game situations and give them a better opportunity to evaluate each play before fall camp opens in August.

2014 fall camp opens for the Broncs Monday, August 11th they open the season August 29th at home with Laramie.

BRONCS / RAMS FOOTBALL OTA'S - Two local football teams heading to camps over the next two weeks. The Sheridan Broncs and Big Horn Rams football team will be competing in football camps at Chadron state college in Nebraska.

The Broncs will be in Chadron late this week while the Rams will be at the session that begins on June 11th.

Bronc Head coach Don Julian says they have great numbers ready to go to Chadron.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept two from Douglas Thursday night to even their record to 5-5.

The Troops put up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning in the opening game and that stood up for a 9-7 victory, Head coach Ben Phillips.

Several of the less experienced Troopers did a nice job of getting the lead in the first game Phillips says the younger guys continue to play well.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 3-5 overall at looking forward to finally playing at home tonight.

They've played their first eight games on the road, Head coach Ben Phillips says it'll be good for the players to play at Thorne-Rider in front of the home fans.

The Troops have been a little short handed with injuries to some of their veteran players, Phillips says the young guys have been getting a lot of action.
