Bronc / Lady Bronc tennis split with NC / Gillette host major volleyball invite / Broncos v 49ers live Thursday night

BRONC LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams hosted conference matches with Natrona county Tuesday, the Lady Broncs took their dual 3-2 and move to 3-0 on the season while the Broncs fell 4-1 and are now 1-2 on the season.

Both teams play duals at Casper Kelly Walsh Friday and then onto Cheyenne for a big tournament Saturday.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc, Tongue River and Big Horn volleyball teams will all be playing at a big invitational tournament in Gillette this weekend.

Another Big Week Coming up on the local sports scene

CROSS COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams both won the opening meet in Buffalo, Head coach Art Bauers says they expected to have a good day.

This week it gets much tougher as they run at the Billings, Montana invitational.

And he says both teams have put themselves in position to have a very good season.

Broncs win football opener / Rams, Eagles open Friday / Poke football season opens Saturday / Broncos beat 49ers in exhibition play

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team blew out Laramie 49-7 in the season opener Friday night.

The Broncs started the scoring when Quarterback Blake Godwin hit Dontae Crow on an 84 yard touchdown pass a minute and half into the game.

In all Godwin threw six touchdown passes for 278 yards, the Bronc running attack was pretty good but Head coach Don Julian says it will only get better.

Cross Country Teams Compete in Buffalo

Sheridan County Cross Country teams competed in their first meet Friday at the Buffalo Invite and Sheridan Media’s Judy Hagerott was there and brings us this report.

Broncs whip Laramie 49-7 / Broncos at home v 49ers Saturday night / Wyoming opens at home next week

BRONC FOOTBALL - Blake Godwin threw six touchdown passes in the Broncs dominating 49-7 victory.

The Broncs took a 42-0 lead into halftime the final score was a 30 yard pick six from Coy Steel late in the first half.

The Broncs play their home opener next week against Casper Kelly Walsh.

TR / BH FOOTBALL - Next week Tongue River and Big Horn will open their seasons with home games.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncs host San Francisco Saturday night broadcast time is 5:00 on KWYO.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open next Saturday at home against North Dakota.
