THE BRONC GOLFERS WIN THEIR SECOND STRAIGHT TOURNAMENT

HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc golfers held off Cheyenne Central to win the Douglas invitational yesterday the Broncs took the team title by 12 shots. Overall six broncs placed in the top ten Kamrin Allen led the way finishing 2nd, Cameron Lindell was 3rd, Toby Nicholas was 4th, Taylor Reed was 5th, Jace Rader 7th and Taylor Spiegelberg was 10th.

Sheridan high school will host the next tournament which tees off tomorrow at Kendrick golf course and will conclude Friday.

The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers hosted their own event yesterday at Kendrick golf course.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Bronc golfers took their first tournament of the season last week in Riverton and yesterday they stayed hot taking the lead after the first day of a tournament in Douglas.

Eight Broncs sit in the top ten led by Kamrin Allen in second place, Cole smith and Taylor Reed are tied for 3rd, Cameron Lindell, Toby Nicholas and Taylor Speigleberg are tied for 4th and Chris Cremer and Jace Rader are tied in 5th place.

Following play today the Broncs and Lady Broncs will host an invitational Thursday and Friday and Kendrick golf course.

Broncs win the Riverton Invitational

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc golfers blew the field away to win the Riverton invitational by 54 shots Evanston was 2nd . Cameron Lindell took the overall individual title with teammate Kamrin Allen finishing 2nd.

They have a lot of golf to play this week they begin today at a two day tournament Douglas. Thursday and Friday they host the Sheridan high school invitational at Kendrick golf course.

RAMS AND EAGLES GOLF – The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers started their fall season in Kemmerer the Rams finished 4th and the Eagles were 7th.

Rockies Lose In Extra Innings

ROCKIES- Kelly Johnson doubled in Justin Upton from first base with one out in the 10th inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied to beat the Colorado Rockies 4-3 on Friday night. Trailing 3-1 in the ninth inning, the Diamondbacks rallied for two runs to force extra innings. Johnson singled and Chris Young walked. Colorado closer Huston Street struck out the next two batters and then had Miguel Montero at a 1-2 count before he doubled to right to tie the game.

THE HIGH SCHOOL GOLF SEASON IS UNDERWAY WITH GOOD RESULTS FROM SHERIDAN COUNTY

SHS GOLF - The Sheridan Bronc golfers sit in the top spot as a team after the first day of the Riverton Invitational tournament. Cameron Lindell leads the way after a blistering first round of 64, teammate Kamrin Allen is hot on his heels after a first round 68 play concludes today.

Following play today the next tournament will start Monday in Douglas. Kendrick golf course will host the Sheridan Invitational starting next Thursday.

THE FLYING "H" POLO RANCH IS HOSTING A REGIONAL CHALLENGE CUP FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

Flying H Polo Club is hosting the USPA Western Regional Challenge Cup 14 Goal Tournament, sponsored by The Powder Horn Golf Club.

Local players include Gillian Johnston & Matt Huckeba playing on the Bendabout team, as well as,Professional players from throughout the US an foriegn country's including Canada, South Africa, Costa Rica & Mexico. Thursday's

Games are 1:00 & 3:00 pm with the finals on Saturday August 21st at 3:00 pm with a preliminary match at 12:30.

The Fall Sports Preview Continues Today With Lady Bronc Swimming and Diving

The Lady Bronc Swimmers and Divers open their season in a week

LADY BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc Swimmers and Divers open their season next week with the Casper relays and Gillette pentathlon.

This year they've added another coach to help out with the girls this fall as long time Wyoming high school coach Larry Stiger will join Larry White and Rick Oatts with the Lady Broncs this fall. Stiger helped make the Gillette girls program a powerhouse a decade ago.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams got a lot of good tennis in over the summer as several tennis enthusiasts in Sheridan held summer programs for the players.

New Sheridan high school Head coach Bob Faurot says, playing most of the summer has made a big difference for the players.

They open the season next Thursday with matches in Jackson so he says they got right to work to be ready to take the court in a week.
