The Tongue River Eagles football team hosted the Moorcroft Wolves Friday at Tongue River High School. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has this report.
The Eagles marched down the field and scored on their first possession of the game with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Matt Yellowtail to Brennan Kutterer. The game remained 6-0 in favor of the Eagles until Lane Dockery scored on a 10-yard touchdown run on 4th and goal with just over eight and a half minutes to play in the game.
Eagles Head Coach John Scott talks about the play that sealed the win for Tongue River.
The defense preserved the shutout with a goal line stand late in the game and Coach Scott says that the seniors really stepped up against Moorcroft.
Up next for the Eagles will be a tough road game at Burns this Friday night.
