LADY BRONC BASKETBALL COACHING CHANGE - Derek Bissitt is out after three seasons as the Sheridan Lady Bronc basketball Head coach.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian told Sheridan media sports about making the change Monday.

Julian said he could make no further comment on the issue because it was a personnel matter.

Bissitt came to the Lady Bronc program at the beginning of the 2008-09 season.

Last month the Lady Broncs finished as the runner-up to Gillette at the state tournament and ended the year with a 22-5 record.

Julian says the search for the next Lady Bronc head coach started yesterday with the job being publicly posted.

BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team has a change to their schedule this week. They will host the Cheyenne schools Thursday and Friday instead of the original schedule of Friday / Saturday.

The Broncs host Cheyenne East Thursday night games are at 4:00 and 6:00 and Friday they host Cheyenne central also at 4:00 and 6:00.

LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team will travel to play the Cheyenne schools this week. Their schedule will remain Friday and Saturday but the game times are different.

They play at Cheyenne Central Friday with games at 3:00 and 5:00 pm then on Saturday they play at East at 10:00 and noon.

The Lady Broncs have won three in a row Head coach Tom Racette says they are scoring more goals.

And they know they've have their hands full when they play in Cheyenne.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - In track and field action the Sheridan high school track teams get back into action today at a meet hosted by Casper Kelly Walsh high school.

The next big meet for the Broncs and Lady Broncs will be the annual "Billings"invitational Saturday.

TAHNEE ROBINSON / WNBA - Tahnee Robinson set a standard of firsts. The former Lander Tiger all stater became the first University of Nevada women’s basketball player to be drafted in the WNBA.

Tahnee was selected in the third round with the 31st overall pick by the Phoenix Mercury. She was then traded immediately to the Connecticut Sun.

Robinson finished the season 9th in scoring in the nation and was twice on the All WAC first team. She concluded her college career as a finalist for the presigious Sullivan Award, given annually to the nation’s top amateur athlete.

Tahnee was a three time all stater at Lander Valley High school and won a state title. Then she starred at Sheridan College before transferring to Nevada.

ROCKIES - The Colorado Rockies are 7-2 overall after winning in New York last night by the score of 7-6. They continue the series tonight.
